Lesson learned in the way of "buyer beware". Be more careful about making large purchases in the future if you aren't ready to accept your own personal risks.
it was for this reason that i didn't get a life time, i knew there would be disappointment.
I would not find the game as interesting if every toon could be 9 in every skill.
Do you mean your box omitted information about the skill cap or that it specifically says that there would not be one ?
I do see people who bought life-subs before the game launched or just after as people who should accept that they bought on faith and sometimes faith is unfounded or misguided.

Yeah it usually says when you log into any MMO that basically you agree to whatever changes they make on any issue content/gameplay wise etc.
Suit yourself, to me it's fairly obvious that you don't make a lifetime subscription to something when there is a high chance that you might get bored of the thing (like a computer game, that usually lasts about 6 months for most people)
And there was no advertising about the skill cap, if it were, you'd be better off pressing legal charges against cryptic than whining on their forums.

I really don't like the skillcap myself either, but I'm getting kinda tired of your posts and especially the way you post it.
If you canceled your life time sub and got your refund you're not entitled to extra free playtime. If you have a problem with that then handle it with Cryptic billing, rather then making useless posts all the time.
except that when you log into STO online it says that gameplay may change over the course time and you loging in tells them you agree to those terms. The skilcap sucks yeah but maybe they will cahnge the skill tree around better with this change i hope.
again show where it said there would be no skill cap. screenshot or didnt happen.
I see new classes becoming unlocked and the game expanding from what it has started off from.
I am happy to be a lifer who also has NO PROBLEM with the cloak btw and find that it's not anywhere near as OP as some would think.
did you buy the lifetime sub when they originally announced there would be no cap or did you buy it when there was a cap in place
they changed their mind before release and said no cap, then started offering lifetime. im sorry but you bought the lifetime knowing there was a cap in place. the game has been out for months and now you want to go because you no longer like the game?

lol i havent made a skill cap thread in a while, i have been active in the ones others make and that is allowed
and this is about a refund not saying we should not have a cap, i care little about the cap as i would just rather have a refund
There are multiple ways to communicate with Cryptic directly, and if a refund is what you're really after, you wouldn't be here stirring the pot yet again.
