Lag??

I have been here for a while and never had any problems with lag. I went to Toast.net just to see if it's on my end and I test up to 10 megs download. I am getting kicked over and over and its getting annoying. I would say this started happening ever since I got that last big patch. This is making the game overall unappealing in every way imaginable.

Is anyone else experiencing lag type gameplay and then getting kicked?

I am also getting severe lag issues, which started yesterday afternoon ( 3/23 ) resulting in pauses in game play that lasted from two, to all long as ten seconds and extreme rubber banding. I thought the problem could be on my end, so I reset my cable modem to resolve the situation to no avail. When I asked my fleet members that were on at the same time, they also were experiencing bad lag problems, so I know that it wasn't an issue with my side of things.

Hoping things would be better after a day, I logged on today to find that the problem had not went away  So when will this be addressed or resolved? because the game is basiclly unplayable due to the amount of lag thats going on right now.

Here is a link of my speed test results that show how blazing fast my cable is 715431427.png so I know its not on my end.

Cryptic whats the deal? and when will this be fixed?

I have a solid state hard drive, as you don't defrag these types of hdd's so your solution is not applicable, not to mention I never heard that a fragmented drive has caused lag in MMO. The lag I'm talking about isn't the type caused by a slow computer or lack of resources, its the type generated by lack of or interuption of bandwidth.

speedtest is only partial good on checking connections as it uses methods not normally effected by certain network connections like gaming packets are.

    download and run nettest
    Nettest:
    Go to http://files.champions-online.com/nettest.exe
Download this file and run it
A command prompt should appear running the test automatically

Column 1 and 3 have values around 500 kb/sec (outgoing/incoming), column 2 has values around 20 kb/sec (transfer rate). If the values in these columns is less than what is expected you may have filtering or blocked ports either on your personal network or from your ISP or one of the routing partners.

Ive been getting lag every sense the pre-patch was downloaded.

Before then...not...one...ounce...of lag was present in game...ever.

Now I skip and slide and rewind all over the place.

Exactly! This is rediculous having to try and play a game that relies on smooth running servers and the links those servers have to the internet.

Cryptic's utter silence on this major issue that many people are having is absurd, why is there no post from them reguarding the lag issue so the player base knows what the hell is going on!? this is very unprofessional and is a TRIBBLE way to run a business. You would think a company that already has a current MMO ( city of heros ) would have a bit more of a clue as to how they deal with their PAYING clients. Even CCP ( company that owns/runs EVE-Online ) far surpasses the meager customer service that cryptic offers its clients. I am a lifetime subscriber and if this is how cryptic intends on running the game in this state, I'll be in contact with my credit card company on recovering the money I paid.

For God's sake Cryptic, get it together!
