Cryptic My Char has nothing to do but farm loot, could you please give me a few tips on somthing to do other then farm loot like i did in the last 5 MMO's i have played, I dont wanna RP or scan flowers ether just so you know.
At least did you get some rare/very rare stuff? Because, I think that I 've killed thousands of enemies and I only got greens (at the best). Yesterday, I brought down two Dreadnoughts all by myself (in two different instances) and both of them droped two batteries:mad: I wanted to cry...

Ok I'm glad you posted on this. Most RPGs have uber rares. Most of us having not seen these in STO dont know what they are. Farming for loot is part of most MMOs. I'm not sure STO has these uber rares? But if it does. The word needs to get out. At the very least we need to know what they are. Unless for some reason its against the forum policy to talk about it here. If not then why not push to have uber rares in the game. These rare items would be more reasons to play STO etc.
We gotta fight for the right to party!

I don't think any uber rare loot has been put in the game yet. Not sure if they will soon as I don't see anything in the engineering report about it. I wish they would though.

Um yes uber rares exhist but there nothing cool at all there purples and they add one extra proc over blue example would be accx3 and opposed to x2 there boring and yes they are very very rare u could probably farm 8 hours a day for a month and not get one. Did i mention there boring
You could PvP, do fleet actions, Infected, Dailies (just for the play), roll another Fed, roll a Klink, craft in MA, make cash for your Alts, make some Merits for the Respec's...

PvP at max rank for a fed, bring a book. The queue is that long.
Infected can be done once per day, is not very pug friendly, some groups require vent, and the loot is meh.
Crafting. T3 has no purple recipes for any of the 3. No common sense items like phasers, disruptors, photon or quantum torpedos. Most items you can craft you can get greens of nearly identical strength from badge gear.
3 character slots run out fast for 15 dollars a month.
Ive got enough merits and bridge officer points stockpiled, doing nothing, that could build an army of officers.

OK - so what would you like to be able to do?
Positioning the discussion in this way round is likely to be more constructive for all involved I think
This is a single player game with a chat room. That's his point, a hidden point, but point non-the-less.
It has the ear marks of a single player game much more than a MMO.
His hidden point is also his normal skill cap removal stuff.
And all MMOs feel like that to me. Unless it's FFXI, they don't ever force you to play with other players until you reach endgame (for WoW anyway). Heck, some games seem to PENALIZE you for partying, because you get so much less EXP.

I am glad you asked.
PvE
Repeatable Patrol the neutral zone vs romulan incursions. Mostly space oriented, but ground missions like rescue operations and destroying the hidden base are cool. Add a fame like faction system so that as you become a more seasoned neutral zone protector you unlock passive buffs or abilities (AKA CHARACTER PROGRESSION)
Like the leveling up patrol missions the Neutral zone missions are group friendly and auto group and auto scale in difficulty and reward based on party size. Bigger the party better the chance a named rare ship or officer will spawn who drops Rare or better loot!
PvP
Right now, battlegrounds feel so wow like and abstract it hardly feels like a war at all, unless you call fighting for a glowie node worthy war material.
Battlegrounds I would like to see.
Attack/Defend the space station (space)-complete with a destroyable starbase.
Convoy Escort. (Space) Protect a group of cargo ships enroute to bring vital war supplies. Easy enough to have a few ai ships cross a big space map. They need protecting from hostile forces.
Prison Break (Ground) a long snake like battleground with detention cells holding friendly npcs who need liberating. Can the Guards stop the break?
Finally, Fame system. like pve, this game needs a way to progress a character beyond the level cap. By being able to unlock passive buffs and skills over time you give players the desire to play.
I'm RA5 with enough unspent BO skill points to have theoretically leveled another char to RA5 (70k+). I've NEVER seen a very rare drop, and the rare drops were few and far between, at best. Honestly the most productive i can seem to be is to do my daily, and then stare at the exchange. buy low, sell high, buy low, sell high, buy low, sell high, buy low, sell high, buy low, sell high, then space out 'til the 15-min kick gets me. Once upon a time i could use ramming speed/runabout shuttle to instant kill the crystal entity and farm rares, but alas cryptic realized how fun that was and took it away...
If you simply play to reach the highest rank and get the best loot, then why do you play MMOs at all?
A singleplayer game will serve you better.
I personally dont play at all just to reach highest rand and get the best loot. I play mmo's because I want to work on a long term goal of some type or another with a large group of friends.
I enjoy pvp with a purpose.
I enjoy decorating something up like the housing in uo was.
I enjoy escaping into an mmo that really engrosses me after a crappy day at work.
These things arent bought to me by a single player game. ATM they arent brought to me by sto either.
Dont get me wrong I'm not leaving least not yet I have hopes I like how the ships fly, I like the graphics, I like the background storyline they have to work with. But some greater purpose needs to be happening here.

Oh the L33t speak really helps get the point across. High level content is being worked on. Obviously the developers can't get it out fast enough to make you happy. The fact that the content you want is being worked on has been pointed out to you repeatedly. You chose the ignore the facts yet again. Next dead horse to beat?

Really? I'm confused as I team up alot. I team voluntarily in PUGs and with my fleet, I get auto-teamed, I team up in DSEs and for STFs.
If you are unable to team for some reason, I'd submit a bug report.
