I am commander 2 and everyone is using chroniton weapons and cool things like that. other than exchange and looting I only find eqiupment at federation space station which is just the standard movie phasers and weapons which after lieutenant level gets boring. And yes there is memory apla, but anywhere else?
thanx and where do u guys get intense energy credits? I get the most from pvp, but is there a better way?
I get a lot of energy credits... because I don't spend them on much. I get my equipment from exploration merits and mission rewards. (And from drops in combat once in a while.)

For your ship:
You can get various ship components using exploration badges in the Sol Starbase shipyard (upstairs room), from the Exchange for credits (some good deals do exist on the later pages of a search), or as mission rewards.
For your crew:
You can get various crew items using exploration badges in the center hub of Sol Starbase, from the Exchange for credits, on DS9 for credits (up to Mk VIII common), or as mission rewards.
I don't PvP so I don't know about that side of things.
As far as making credits, sell the drops or mission rewards you get that you don't need for reasonable prices on the Exchange. Don't vendor trash stuff unless at Sol Starbase (you get 50% value there, less the farther from Earth you get). DSE's are pretty good for drops. Things that most people sell to the replicator can be sold for profit on the Exchange, like batteries, commodities and 64%+ food. I also sell anomalies that I have tons of (the T1 reds). You can make money in-game by not even trying. You can make A LOT of money if you put your mind to it.

Yay it's coderanger! Hey, you're posting with one hand and working on Klingon content with the other, right?
Hmmm that could be interesting
He can't work on Klingon content that isn't directly tied to the patcher, internal monitoring systems, and other stuff like that.
