How to make this game more like Star Trek

1. Find 4 friends IRL who can come to your house. (probably difficult for some of you, impossible for me :D )

2. Get a really big monitor or hook your computer up to an HDTV

3. add as many keyboards/game controllers as possible to your computer, or have friends who don't mind sitting really really close together.

4. Position your friends and your inputs so one can manage the navigation/speed, one the tactical BO skills and weapons, one the Science skills, and one the engineering skills.

5. Sit back in an easy chair, sip some tea, and start barking out orders! Be sure to make tons of quotes from the shows and movies.

Optional for extra nerdy fun: Wear any toy phasers/comm badges / tricorders you have. :D

*this is a joke, not intended as insulting the game or trolling. Also i really really wish i could try this and wonder if anyone has done something similar?

Yup. My cousin and I used to do that with Klingon Academy way back in the day.

We would take turns controlling the ship and being captain barking orders. We got very disciplined at never entering in a single command without authorization.

We used a red light bulb for immersion, and every time we got hit we went flying out of our chairs rolling around all over the room (which highly annoyed my mom). It was great fun.

Sometimes we used to climb out my bedroom window and go on "away missions".

    Ahhhh.....memories. :D

Awesome. My friend and I used to make star trek "simulators" in BASIC on our old computers back in 1992. His was text based menus, mine was ascII graphics lol it was fun as hell though. We used remotes for phasers.

One morning my mom wakes me up to ask where the salt shaker was as she was making us breakfast. I said "In the dryer"

"Why the hell is the salt in the dryer?"

"We had to replace the dilithium crystals"

    good times
