No Crafting for Klingons?

While playing my Klingon on Tribble this weekend, I noticed that Klingons apparently do not collect anything. We don't get any anomalies and there is no equivalent of Memory Alpha for the KDF. So, what's the deal here? Are Klingons going to have some other kind of crafting? It seems odd that they wouldn't want to collect the anomalies like the Federation. Klingons do have Scientists too, you realize?

Is this in the plans for the future, or are Klingons not intended to have any kind of crafting system at all? This would make me a sad Liberated Borg Klingon if so.

I think it will make sense to revisit and introduce a new crafting-type system before expanding it to other factions.

Besides, Klingons don't scan anomalies. They CRUSH them.

No, they scan them. Klingons look for ways to improve their weapons and shielding systems too. It's not all about hitting things.

And that reminds me... What's with the NPCs at the bank terminals and ship consoles slamming their fists on the console? Haven't they heard that violence and technology are not a good mix?

Do the Feds have crafting? I hadnt noticed. :p

Seriously though the Klingons dont get much of anything other than PvP stuff. They dont get crafting, they dont get mission rewards, and they dont even get loot drops as there are no missions.

Ive tried to figure out how a Klingon is supposed to even really make any energy credits. When I played one I had to transfer about 100k credits over to my Klingon. Otherwise he'd be pretty broke, with no real way to get the stuff he needs for his ship.

Feds tend to whine about how PvP is unbalanced in the Klingons favor regarding cloaking. Which I can understand. But they also get no greens, blues etc from mission drops, no mission rewards at all.

Sure, you can use badges to buy stuff for your Klingon, but heck, the Feds can do that too. So Im not really seeing how thats fair.

What it amounts to is the Klingon portion of STO is a nice side attraction that doesnt have even half the game play or advantages of the Federation side.

You actually want what passes for crafting?

Considering they are planning a rework of the system anyway?

Yeah, when that hits I'd like to have it for the KDF side too, man.
