STO Fraud sellers now advertising on Facebook

I was really disappointed when i found unofficial (non-cryptic/atari) advertisements on Facebook leading to links of sites selling STO materials illegally. Here is the link the add led too if anyone can do anything about it.

I am sure there is a lot of this stuff, but when its directed at such a large market the arrogance of these fraud companies is really aggravating.

You're not exactly helping by advertising for them here.

Edit out that link and send it to a moderator in a private message.

Yea, even I know about PA. While I don't use their services, I would actually think that they are trying to legitimize the secondary market in such a way that cuts down on those harmful practices such as gold spam, botting and stuff. I read about them in the NY times and ars tecnica.

Some of my friends who play WoW won't go anywhere else since they are more of a trading platform between players, as opposed to those chinese sites that do all the farming in the first place. I know it is taboo to discuss this, but I am in favor of legitimate account trading. Sony does this with EQ2 on their exchange.

If anything, it helps Cryptic profit from the secondary sector AND keep subs up. Instead of people initiating chargebacks from their life time subs, they can just sell it to someone else, and Cryptic keeps their cash.

I saw the STO ships guide one and laughed my TRIBBLE off.

Like outfitting your ship requires a 20 dollar book.
