I tried to send another friend of mine a 5 day trial key only to discover that can only do that one time. Talk about a company shooting themselves in the foot. Players should be able to send as many invites to the game as possible. Being allowed to only give away one and only one invite makes no sence to me at all. Why would a company want to do something that could affect their profit margin? In that regard STO can learn a lot from other MMO's like EVE. They don't place limits on how many people a player can invite. Hope this changes.

A bid to limit free gold farming maybe?.
I doubt that'd increase spam significantly, and a "second try" will always be less than a month away.
They do this so you only loose one of your friends for recomending STO to them.
No Not really i have 5 real life friends playing it and we enjoy it and thats the whole point of a trial dont like it dont buy it simple.
One time is nowhere near enough unless you only have one friend. I have several, and I would like to give them all 5 day trials. Cryptic is losing potential customers due to this.
Whatever the case. I think we can all agree that being allowed to send only one invite per account, or three as was the case of someone that bought the collectors edition, which baffles me btw as to why they would do that. Some kind of improvement is needed here. I had a friend that I wanted to send an invite to that is playing eve-online and was surprisingly unable to do to a company that wants to suffer from the hole in your foot syndrome.
Hehe nice!
They changed these passes to 5 days only.... BECAUSE YOU CAN BEAT THE GAME IN 10 DAYS.
