Klingons in July

Ok I decided to make a brand new thread as some peeps who might want the information that havent seen it won't ply through other threads to get to the bottom to see it. For those that are already in the know sorry for the duplicate, just felt it needed it's own spot.

Cryptic has given us a tentative time-table for serious Klingon PVE.
Now I know many of the KDF would like to see something earlier than this but the big thing we have been asking for lately is communication and a dev to come out and tell us SOMETHING!

Well now they have.

And yes before we all start lamenting the wait...our last big request we have been asking for is communication. Here it is. I will wait to see now. Will I wait in or out of game? Dunno. But our question has been asked and answered for the time being.
Sure, we would have liked more and sooner.....but who wouldnt in our positions. But now I have an informed position to go on.
Let us look towards Season 2. If it isnt there by then...well.....we will see, we will see.
So for now, though yes I of course would like my x-mas earlier, shall protest no longer.
Yes we know it should have come sooner, yes we know it should have been done differently and in a different manner.
But in Cryptics defense RIGHT NOW....The question was asked, and an answer has been given. And for that I say to Cryptic: Thank you for communicating this to us.

Now let the waiting begin

Good intel, thanks for highlighting it. Long wait, but I guess I'll just keep my Fed as primary till then and play my Klink on and off. I wonder if a third race will still be coming in July as we had heard now... Would be fine with it either way, but curious.

So let me understand this ? They just decided that they are going to complete the second faction content wise 6 mo after release ?
Can someone clear this up for me , I don't think I understand this correctly ?
Is it just me that finds this a bit contemptuous ? This is how Cryptic feels about it's paying player base ?
Wasn't this suppose to be a 2 faction game with 2 complete factions in which Klingons we'ren't suppose to be monster play ? All the Fanboi's kept saying it wasn't going to be ?
I guess what it really requires are parts of the Universe devoid of players ?

Well....umm... I am DEFINATELY NOT going to defend their past actions, you all have seen my past posts concerning this and I have never pulled any punches with them, but at least they have acknowledged us (albeit late) and at least they have given us a ball park tentative time frame (which they hadnt done before).

It's this I suppose I am at least gratefull for. Before we had nothing but silence and were left adrift in our own speculations and lost for any lack of light or guidance. I will grant you that we would have liked this far sooner, I will of course concede that it SHOULD have been done earlier. Unfortunately the bottom line is...it wasnt. So at least they are saying something. Is it enough? I don't know and honestly wouldn't dare to speak for the rest of the KDF or even a majority. It now becomes a question for each person to decide for themselves. Can each of us wait the 3 more months to possibly see the gates of the promised land?
I havent even decided myself. What I do know is this....I have been asking for some communication and now its been given. I have been asking for ball park time frames, they did that too.

<this next part is ONLY applicable to myself alone>

No further protestation on my part or probably anyone elses will get me this content any sooner. I don't presently have the pve content the KDF deserves and needs, I am told it is coming in 3.5 months. Nothing further I do will accelerate that or make it materialize any faster. All I can do personally at this point is wait and see.
I am not advocating we stick around or leave. Like I said I havent even decided that myself, will I leave immediately? No. I am at best a casual player on the Fed side. Play every few days and make a grade in Captain. Suffices.
For Klingons? I wont play them again till at LEAST Season one comes out. Then I will take my character to BG and probably start another under a different carreer spec to test things out. Might do that with a fed too. Beyond that I am unsure.
But at least we have been given notice. At least they have given us a tentative time frame. Thats a lot more than we had before I suppose.

    Just my 2 EC's

I feel for ya m8. I have felt the same way, recon all of us have but at least they have given us the first thing on the looong list of fixes. Namely a indication they are doing something.
Not what I wanted to hear time wise but glad they have said something anyway.

P.S> I was one of the ppl that missed this OP so ty for the repost

The release of the timeframe does allow Klingon players to make an informed decision on whether to continue to subscribe.
For that reason alone i'm glad we got it. :)

You guys need to make more, smaller chunks of Klingon content (PvE, tailor options, ship options, etc) instead of one super-chunk. By the time the super-chunk is done, there won't be as many Klingon players around. It's better to give smaller chunks that you can give out faster. It's all the same amount of content, so why make us wait (while you give Fed players even MORE).

Mainly because they are just starting it now , and need to schedule the team once the story line is established and written . This doesn't happen quickly. Saying this , this should have been scheduled and a priority in 2009, not a post release project .

Lifetime ? If so you missed that window , by about a month.
