Ok, first off I will admit I am an altaholic. That being said my first of 2 suggestions and wants:

Give us the option to SKIP THE TUTORIAL. I like to try different skill combinations on my characters. I usually reach Capt and re-roll. Why the "F" do I have to do the damn tutorial over and over!!!

2nd....Give us the option to TURN TIPS OFF. How many times do you think I need to know how to buy and sell gear to a vendor. NOBODY IS THAT STUPID CRYPTIC!!!

Come on and be a good developer and use common sense and not book smarts so much (pats dev on head like child)

I know the tutorial is only 20 minutes or so, but it would be nice to be able to just skip it. And the ability to turn off tips would be nice as well.

I dislike the tips in the inventory because they clog up the interface. I would like the option to turn that off as well. As for the tutorial, I don't suffer from "altitis", but since the Tutorial is really really basic, it can easily be skipped IMO.

    Cheers!

There really does need to be an option to turn tips off, I was looking for that the very first day I played. Everytime I went back to earth station *BAM* there they were in the way of what I was wanting to do.

i dont mind the tutorial so much tbh but the tips are stupid once you press the X they should be gone until you specifically go in to the menu and turn them back on.

Yup I agree an option to loose those annoying tips, the tutorial and those Officers with those repeatable
that I no longer want ,need or care about.
That zone option you implemented for the officers was a start, now could you please finish the job.
    Many thanks

Turning off the tutorial may be problematic. You get enough skill points in the tutorial to make LT. I forgot to spend my skill points after the tutorial once and Quinn and Sulu wouldnt give me any missions. I project that if you didnt earn those skill points in the tutorial then you would break the game and not be able to advance.

They could give you the skill point that you would normally earn in the tutorial but I dont think they will see this as an acceptable solution.

Turning off those annoying pop-ups when you get near a vendor would be very good. That and NPC's walking into you at SB 1 are my 2 biggest annoyances.

Forgetting to spend your skill points is not a problem with the game. That is user error. It's relatively straightforward to code a "skip the tutorial" mission. Most all MMOs have it. Simply grant the character the necessary skill points once they zone in.

I agree with everything, we definitely need those options. However you should only have the option to skip the tutorial if you've already completed it with another character.

yeah. skipping the tutorial would be nice.
turning off new player tips would be nice.

as for the tooltips... well, getting an movable anchor for it would be nice..
so that the info doesn't overlap with stuff in the UI.

Not spening skill points is easy, just spend them an all is well. Not having skill points to spend is the problem. I have never known a developer to give away 'advancement points'. In other MMO's that I have played, if you skip the tutotial you just dont get the exp for doing it. Not a big deal in most of them. That is my concern here, not that I didnt spend the skill points but if you dont have them to spend then your start is borked. When your ensign 0 with no skill point and no missions available, what are you gonna do to advance?

I started my third character the other day. I don't need or want to do the tutorial again and I sure as hell don't want or need the tips. Please, an option to skip and turn off would be awesome.
