Graphical / Audio Error

Hello, I have recently begun playing this game and have run into a technical error that I am hoping I can receive some assistance with.

After installing the game, I played successfully for about three hours. After those three hours, the screen froze, and the audio seemed stuck and played back the same tenth of a second of audio over and over and over. The rest of my computer's operations (Ctrl + Alt + Del / Alt + tab) were also frozen or moved on a very delayed basis. This lasted for about 30 - 45 seconds, after which the game and the computer immediately resumed totally normal operation.

This problem continued to happen periodically on intervals that ranged from 2 minutes to about 20 minutes.

After logging out of the game for a while, I noticed that I also had problems playing video on the internet. The problem continued to give me trouble across multiple browsers (Google's Chrome and Mozilla's Firefox) and multiple plugins (Microsoft's Sliverlight and Adobe's Flash). The problem does not seem to appear unless my computer is doing graphics intensive work.

After noticing this problem, I uninstalled the game and found that the problem went away. The next day, I re-installed the game hoping that the issue I experienced would be a one time thing. Unfortunately, after about 10 minutes of playing, similar symptoms returned. Without doing further testing, (in hind sight a bad idea) I uninstalled the game again.

Is this a known issue? A quick review of the FAQ and other documentation didn't return anything. Should I submit a ticket or is this something obvious that I haven't thought of? I appreciate your help!

You should start by making sure you have the current drivers for your motherboard chipset, video, and audio.

Note that some sellers, like Dell, may not have the latest drivers if your PC is not the latest model. It's best to get them from the source (like Realtek and Nvidia for example).
