Is there a Universal chat command?

Is there a command for binds that can work in whatever channel I have selected?

/bind f9 "team Greetings!" works for Team chat only.
/bind f9 "local Greetings!" works for Local chat only.

I want one that can work in either, depending on which one I have selected. Is that possible?

In City of Heroes the command was say, but that doesn't seem to work here.

Any answers will be appreciated, even if it's just to say there isn't such a command.

Thanks.

I know if you use the system generated channels, the usual / command works.

    /local
    /team
    /zone
    /fleet
    /officer

A friend of mine had found out how to bind to the player made channels, like StarfleetAcademy. But I don't think it's the same / kind of thing.

When I see them next, I'll be sure to ask though.

    EDIT: Woot! Just found it!

    /ChannelSend Name Text

So something like /channelsend starfleetacademy Hello everyone!

Thank you for that. Not really what I was looking for though.

    Try /say (I think).

The goldfarmers must know. They seem to be able to broadcast in any channel their gold spam message.

My suspicion is that they have a 'keystroke' macro. Their message is setup so that they can broadcast it with a single keystroke in any channel.

Thank you, code. I hadn't tried that because it didn't work when I tried it CO, so I assumed it wouldn't work here. I'll have to give it a try when I get home later. I will be using the same format for the bind.

    /bind f9 "say Greetings!"

Hope it works. This will allow me to create many more binds, as I won't have to create multiple versions for alternate channels.

It does not work. /say is just another version of /local. It only works in Local chat.

Code, could you look into this for us? Maybe there's another command that is not listed, or maybe they can fix the /say command?

    :(
