I cannot wait to see all the posts asking what this is:

It's gonna be a sh*t storm!!
Hey what's this big blue gas looking cloud in the sol system? That's the Captains Table and only about a quarter of the population (or maybe less?) in STO will get to see!
What a big FU to monthly subs! Monthly players tell Cryptic you will not put up with this kind of TRIBBLE!!!
Want more info on it look here:

also a quote from a STO player:
I was visiting Earth Spacedock when I saw something glowing in the distance before docking. I went close and to my surprise it had a name, Aenigma Nebula. I was prompted if I wish to enter, and inside was a very large space station of sorts with various npc's with names I recognize from my adventures.

Hmm I have seen the thing which described the captains table but I didnt know they had queue priority. That being said even if it is true (not saying it isnt) I doubt we see any queues in the near future.
Like I said in aprevious thread. They have lost so many subscribers, the chances of a queue appearing is.......well not very good.
Yep I checked it out. Hopefully with the new servers they added we wont see any queues and if so they wont be very big.
Personally if they are brave enough to dump almost $300 on a lifetime membership then they deserve to skip the line in my opinion.
I don't think "brave" is the best descriptor.
I would call it brave who knows if this game will last a year. Tabula rasa (or however ya spell it) closed quickly. Its a bet that in the sea of mmos this one will make it to the 2-3 year mark so you start seeing a return on your money.
I liked Tabula Rasa...
I had planned on trying it but it closed so fast I never had a chance.
It's a shame there weren't any more Remo Williams movies...that was good fun.
lol
As if anyone.. and I mean even the most hard core Trek nut RP'ers could slug this game out for 2-3 years.
I have 2 Admirals already that I just cant bring myself to log on due to Severe boredom.
Stretching STO out 2-3 years would be like getting a root canal done by a Klingon using a jack hammer and apair of boltcutters.
I don't care how many updates they run... they need to scrap the whole game and start again for 2-3 years to even begin to be feasable.
Not all MMOs are for powergamers.
Actually I plan on being here over the long haul. I know at least 5 other people who plan on it as well.
I'll be here at least a year cause I paid that much in advance hehe. I think people expect too much from a brand new MMO. I wonder if when SWTOR comes out after all the hype we will see the same exact issues?
Doesn't the lifetime queue bypass also go towards pvp queues? I haven't seen a log in queue since, week one of launch, so the only queues really left are pvp queues.. Which really blows since, some of us love pvp and are monthly subbers. I certainly would not devote $300 to get into pvp instantly.
No it doesn't apply to PVP
Doubtful, Bioware is a name people trust.....lets just say Cryptic isn't.
Also, Bioware has a major reputation for making quality games...very similar to Blizzard.
There has already been issues raised like some of these on the TOR forums. Bioware has never made a MMO before either. No doubt they have a good reputation. Something else to consider. Believe it or not there are people who don't like Star Wars.
Blizzard nave made an MMO before either.
Blizzard owned their own IP for the MMO. Bioware doesn't.
HUGE difference there. First off WoW came out there was 1 other 3d mmo (EQ). Secondly people had been playing warcraft games for years and they had a built in base of hundreds of thousands of gamers. While star wars and star trek have huge followings I dont know that they are all gamers. Even if they are gamers would they like an online game based on the movies?
WoW was based on a game which you could play against other people. They had a base of actual gamers and not just fans of some movie.
I have high hopes and wish Bioware good luck. Everyone says that it will be the best MMO ever and when they realize just simply being a MMO means it will have alot of the same issues all MMOs have.
