Bug or stupitdy?

Before I fill a ticket, I better ask if its just my inability to understand the mission instructions correctly. I had no issues finding Sulu or anything, so I also see a chance this is a bug.

"Fight in 3 Space War Zones" - N'Var and Kes'at (sp?), the scan 8 Borg thingies, then destroy 6 Borg thingies. That's what I did, twice in Qu'Nos sector, once in Donatu. My mission status is "return to Lt. Mara". If I talk to her (tried both hailing and talking to her directly), she only offers me the Kahless Expanse quest. If I accept, she has no icon but the "info". I did the Kahless Expanse like 2 mio times, but I don't get the option to turn in the quest. All mission status options tell me to do that tho. Is there anything I'm missing?

My second problem is very likely a result of my stupidity, but any hint in the right direction would be appreciated. I'm Lethean, I'm not as bright as Klingons. :D

I got "the most dangerous game - ground" as mission. Now I understand what I have to do, kill 50 NPCs, just like I had to destroy 50 ships in the space version. I just don't get where I find ground NPCs to kill. The only place where I get ground missions is PvP, and that's obviously not NPCs. The mission info says "in any nebula", so I tried to go to the nebulas marked with "empire defense", but alas, I can't even enter them. I'm Lt. 10, and the mission is rated as Lt. 6 (I think, in any case below my level), so that can't be the issue.

Questions:
Is it normal that I can't enter any Empire Defense except Kahless Expanse?
Where the heck are the ground NPCs?

Cryptic doesn't really bother to test much on the klingon side, it seems like. or if they do, it's not a priority to fix anything.

Mara is a typo. actually you need to see Menbet I think the name is, in Ganalda station in the central area.

for the 50 NPC's, it's either a typo or a bug (but if it's a bug, it's in your favor). I think player kills count, so you can do ground pvp matches. whether it's a bug that players count, or a typo that the mission text doesn't mention players I don't know. if player kills don't work (any longer), you will find plenty of ground NPC's at the Ice Mining fleet action (don't remember the name of the system, but it's in the north-east quarter of the Sirius sector block (the sector block with Qonos in it) iirc. assuming you haven't leveled so high that you can no longer get in. I don't remember what the minimum level required to get in is, so if you can't get in in T1, try again later.

you will be able to access higher versions of Empire Defense as you level up. it will just be the same thing as Kahless Expanse, however, only with different and higher level enemies (Romulans, Cardassians, Borg). so just do whichever one is level-appropriate for you, because they're otherwise identical.

This is how much attention the Klingon side garners. When was the last time you got a gold spam in klingon zone chat ?

And on a slightly different topic, there maybe a bug that may not have been reported ?

It has to do with the Teroka System, which is the Ice Mining planet (ground fleet action). If you are in the same sector, it appears correctly. But if you move on to the next sector, it changes to Yov'Bot (spelling?).

Yov'Bot System is actually our space fleet action and you will then see in the sector space view (not map view -> afaik), 2 systems with the same name...

If someone can go in and check + bug report it? great !

Sorry for the off-topic, thread just got me thinking about it. I am not absolutely sure, and won't be ingame for maybe 3 weeks.

I got the quest (3 space war zones) from Mara, but have to turn it in on someone else? The only contact not on Quo'Nos I have is a guy... something with R... Radak, Rodek, something like that. Hmm, I'll go back to the station and just try to talk to everyone with a sign over the head, maybe I find the right one.

For the 50 ground NPC kills... PvP doesn't count. I was in several matches on the Abandoned House and Ghost Ship maps, each with 40 kills. Someone in my team tried to finish the same quests (die 25 times and kill 50 NPCs). Seeing we were only 3 people, and won each time, including taking turns as top scorer... it was clearly us killing over 100 ground players. I'm pretty certain it doesn't count.
I also still have the quest "kill 10 turrets" and can't really figure out what I'm supposed to do. I killed tons of turrets fabricated by Fed engineers, and I killed ships that probably had phaser turrets, but its still 0/10. What exactly am I supposed to kill and where?

I'll try fleet actions - if it lets me enter those - and hope that will count for something. For now, there seems to be nothing but the Kahless Expanse I can do and turn in, except for hanging out in PvP queques. I'm at Lt. 10 1.5, and find it not too appealing to repeat the same 2 missions over and over again, or get tiny XP from waiting ages in PvP until I level up. Hitting Lt. Commander *will* give me something else to do, yes?

For the 25 NPC part, player spawned drones count. I completed it through killing a lot of them in the ground matches. For turrets you kill the ones spawned by the engies in the ground missions.

Now I'm completely confused... I killed things like turrets and support drones made by engineers in ground PvP. That's the ones I'm supposed to kill? Or in PvE? Because the PvP didn't count for any mission, not 50 NPCs and not 10 turrets.

Maybe I just wait for Season One, on Tribble, the Fed engineers spam turrets and drones like crazy. Should be easy to finish the quests once that is live.

Seems that doesn't work anymore. Oh well, I just wait for Season One... while repeating the Kahless Expanse another 200 times. :(

When i was playing " the most dangerous game" I just killed people in PvP that might be a bug but in the next patch klingons have ground PvE.

actually, no. at Lt. Commander it's just more of the same (except that instead of killing Federation ships in Kahless Expanse, it becomes Romulans, then Cardassians, then Borg). the only "new" content that opens up is the ground fleet action (Ice Mining) in Teroka, then nothing else until level 43 when you get access to some of the federation quests.

when the new patch currently on the test server goes live some additional federation quests will become available to klingons as well.

You can do the Ice Mining Fleet Action - Breaking the Planet to get those missions completed, Teroka system in same sector block as Qonos (and yes it does show up as You'bot) - its NorthEast of Qonos and says Fleet Action (theres 2 - its the closer of the 2). If you like ground mode thats pretty much the only PvE ground stuff for Klingons til Infested I believe. Also, its available at start just have no mission to do it, I went there at Lt. .

Next patch will have exploration (klingon style - no anomalies) avaiable to grind thats a lot more pleasant(or at least there's more variety to the grind) than the current grind. As well as additional Fleet Actions (copied from Feds mostly cept Big Dig [new to both Fed and Klingons] which is a ground fleet action).

I copied my character to Tribble because I still couldn't get into any ground missions.

There, it finally counted the Borg in a resource battle and their turrets. However, if I remember correctly, on Holodeck my mission was to kill 50 NPCs (both space and ground), on Tribble, it was only 25. Typo again?

The exploration PvE is much better than Fed, btw. I like ground combat, and on Fed side, its maybe 20/80 in all clusters. On KDF, its 50/50 and the missions vary more. Not sure if that will be the same for Feds when it goes live - its much more enjoyable for KDF and the planets look much better, too.

I could also turn in the space war zones to the Gorn at Ganalda. Without asking here, I wouldn't have guessed that's the right NPC.

Kill 50 ground NPCs counts (or used to) engineer turrets/stuff and ground NPCs like in the ice mining fleet action. That's how you can end up completing it doing PVP, though the fleet action is much faster.

Kill turrets can be space or ground, iirc. Ground turrets is engineer turrets, but I don't remember if generators count (I don't think cover shields do). Space turrets (I think I only got this mission once) might be found in the assault maps at the bottom of the queue. There are turrets guarding the points you need to beam security teams into.
