Just thought you guys should know that I sell most of my stuff for 13 credits above market value(what the game says its worth when you right-click) or just abouts on the Exchange.
So if you see an item that is Lieutenant Commander rank stuff or below with a sale price that ends with "13", it is usually going to be my sale. I have too many items in inventory that are of no use to me or Memory Alpha, so I get rid of them on the exchange. I sell about one to three items a day this way, but I would like to sell more as my Sell queue is always full at 20.
Help me out and Enjoy the bargains!

I make it lower because anyone can buy it for that price from the different stores.
Thanks for the info Lucky_13_X, once the changes are made to the exchange in a future update, hopefully finding what you're looking for and buying for a decent price will be easy.
Selling too cheaply, means people wont sell. You can sell in the replicator for either the same value or a little less (but isntantly).
Exchange NEEDS to be more expensive than buying from a retailer. I know that sounds odd, but here's why.
1). There is a direct benefit to the seller. They get more money than selling through the replicator. It takes time, but the profit yield makes it worth it. If I can sell an item on the replicatory for 10k, I'm not going to both with exchange if I'm only going to get between 8-12k.
2) There is a directe benefit to the buyer. They get access to the whole range of equipment (so don't have to go hunting for the item across a range of suppliers). They pay a bit more but thats a cost of convenience.
Economics is economics, so no-one can be criticised by items range between the ridiculously cheap to the ridiculously expensive. No-one benefits from either of those extremes.
It might settle, but at the moment is pointless. Just MHO.
Simple reasoning math for me, and I don't care if it's right or wrong to anyone else, but here it is.
When I see items selling for high amounts that no serious person going to take to buy, and it doesn't matter what color it is from 'common' to 'very rare' I think they're either just storing those items and/or curious to see if anybody is stupid enough to buy their item for that price they chose in storing that items - just for kicks/curiosity.
Also I see they're lousy space jockeys or lazy players who sell cheap for more, and I chuckles to myself. Sometime I just pass by and look in exchanges to get a good chuckles, too. Heheh..
I enjoy playing STO hard and well enough where I randomly get color items, and am not short on credits so why be mean to another player that may not have enough playing time who needs that part. When I see a rare items that's sold for not much more than it's worth I know he/she is a real good player. Simple as that.
So those who sells something like a just 'uncommon' like say a sci- sensor arrays or such for crazy high amounts I see that person is not very good at space and/or ground battles, depending on what item they're selliing.
Yeah, so when you see rare stuff selling for not much more than what it's marked value that's affordable to you, you'll know that player is naturally skilled in this game where he/she gets those rare items enough where it doesn't matter, but they're just trying to get rid of it - and no for needing the energy credits even. It also means they're nice enough to spend the effort to put it in Exchange amongst the greedy jokers to help out their comrades.
Its really not... At this point its just about how many pages of the exchange you're willing to wade through before getting bored and giving up.
There was a time when we did
I agree with this, but still won't post at stupid prices and I am willing to look through all the pages. LoL
.... everything blue, purple, green, Mk1- MkX, doesn't matter to me.
Credits are worthless anyway , so I see no need to charge more.
Yep! If only I could figure out a consistent way to get MY stuff on the first page
