Doubt anyone has been as hard on crytic than I have....but this new patch has turned the corner.Maybe i am just in love with my new BoP mix and match design i have made or maybe i have had to much blood wine but im close to lifetime sub.ing.

For those of you who havent tried the new stuff here are some of little things coming that you don't hear about unless your on the test realm.

Number 1
A factionless bar I went in there was tons of feds roleplaying , so the first klingon I seen come in I said to him You don't even saltue your general , and first thing he said was sorry general didnt see you and saluted.....now most of you know me and im sure you would have just spit on me and I would have had to cut your little head open but was very cool to see roleplay on both sides.

Number 2
Rura Pentha its there you can;t go down there yet but its there those of you that know me well know ST 6 is where its at , this was unbelievable even tho I could only fly by it.

Number 3
The Pve isnt so bad.....I enjoy it its cool to see my ship in differnt systems with differnt back drops , not to mention finally seeing my Bo's

Number 4

As of 3 am lastnight Bo's are ON THE BRIDGE , thats right I almost cried I was so happy , but we dont have tear ducts so I killed some feds insted.

Number 5
New ship models , some kinda suck and they are only at T5 , but you can mix and match some great combos.

Number 6

those that know me well know I am always in the warzone killing feds. The warzone now gives you PvP marks and has something "like" a dmg meater it shows the effort and things you have done I think only the top two get marks tho , not really sure I was alwlays the top.

I know some of you are still mad about that pvp vendor from 3 months ago , and about the joined trill from few months back aswell , but The effort is starting to show.

Now if I could just get those dam STOked guys to do a show called STO-vo-kor the day before this pacth drops a pretty much all Klingon show that might bait more players this side.

Oh I'm pretty sure there are folks that are harder on Cryptic. You didn't by any chance drink some of the Cryptic Kool-Aid from Tribble?

A patch with double the content of "season one" solely devoted to Klingons wouldn't put a noticable dent in the disparity of content (PvE + PvP + customization) that differentiates Federation from Klingon factions.

Season One is approximately 3 parts Fed and 1 part Klingon. Reverse that ratio and 10 updates later Kligons will still not have HALF the content available to the Federation faction.

My advice for cryptic is do not make a single piece of fed content until they finish the Klingons.

    'More stuff'..

I doubt you've been as hard on Cryptic as others. Still yes the 45 day patch is a step.. A step many feel should have been in at release, but Cryptic had a deadline, and had to ship.. All bloodwine under the bridge now.

Is it cause for a new wave of Klingon players to Lifetume up? Hardly.

Will it stop the Fed's from trolling our boards saying we got new content, so stop QQ'in? Doubtfull.

Still it's nice to see some Klingon players gratefull for the addition of basic gameplay fundamentals like visable BO's on the bridge, and useable in some much needed non PvP-grind content.

We are still second class citizens in STO, and feel like a 'monsterplay add-on' to Federation Online. Maybe someday, eventually soon(tm) as Cryptic continues to add stuff we may become the second faction originally intended in their pre-launch video's and material.

So my fellow Mongrel.. uh.. Klingons, put down the pitchforks, grab a glass of bloodwine, pet your targ, and give them the chance to continue adding what we should already have been enjoying.

    ker-pla, or whatever it is..

Yeah, the "encryption errors" borg zone looks like it's worth playing for more than annoying feds now. I completed it by myself, since it's the test server and i didn't feel like getting a group, so i don't know who gets rewards either. I got about as much reward as I do for a mediocre/lost pvp match. (Probably because I killed 0 opposing team with 0 damage ^_^)

Also, the encryption nodes can't be scanned while cloaked anymore. That's probably fair, since a single cloaked BoP could scan all the nodes hilariously fast while the federation was shooting spheres.

It also seems like there's not as many cubes out, and repair hulks are easier to target. Basically this map looks a lot more fun right now, as far as I can tell without playing a "real" match.

Compared to me you come across as a Cryptic appologist.

WE DON'T TRUST CRYPTIC TO DO THE RIGHT THING. Especially after that Federation (with a bone to Klingons) 45-day update.

Mark my words, as soon as Federation players get more revealing clothing they will discover the toons have no belly buttons. FED TOONS MUST HAVE BELLY BUTTONS will be the cry. And they will get them

Then Fedrats will demand belly button jewelry. And they will get it.

Meanwhile, Klingons will have the exact same short list of uniform customizations. Klingon and Orion females will have the exact same uniforms (like they would actually dress the same anyway).

Like the tree falling in the forest, when the Klingon Empire falls will anyone be there to hear it?
    STObee wrote:
Wait A LITTLE BIT FOR CONTENT? How much content? For how long a wait? I'd settle for half of the Fed content and character/ship customization - half is enough, for a start, provided it isn't too long a wait, and Cryptic makes a good faith effort (unlike the bad faith effort of the 45-day update).

What Cryptic should be doing: ;)

    - kissing Klingon butts, not the other way around
    - dropping EVERYTHING that isn't Klingon related and rushing to put Klingon content (PvP and PvE) into the game (it may take 6-9 months of nothing but working on Klingon "priorities" just to get halfway to the Federation standard)
    - place the entire "art department" on Klingon character/ship customization
    - get their devs and executives on this forum to explain and appologize for the 45-day update specifically and the lack of Klingon content in general

    Please note the preceeding ;)
    STObee wrote:
Recommend the main Klingon faction fleets get together and ask Cryptic for terms of surrender.

We could not be beaten by the Fedrats, Romulans or Borg, but against the unfeeling and unthinking Cryptic there is no defense.

The 45-day update makes it crystal clear that Klingons are not a major faction in STO and that Klingons will only get 3rd class treatment. They should rename the game Federation Online and let us get on with our pathetic existance as a monster faction.

Any terms short of species enslavement or extinction should be accepted.

As a bargaining tool we could ask for reduced monthly premiums to go along with our reduced level of content. Call it an even $5/month to play Klingon faction.

When is the protest on Sol system space dock? Bunch of players going around demanding equality for the Klingon faction.

When is the Klingon stike? (Better happen before FvF.)

Ok Synacus, I've looked over a few of your posts / threads, and yes I suppose you have been giving it a go. Much more so than I realized ( not like that makes others of us 'vocal minority' less than ) so I appologize for doubting you.

We need members like you, and Vulk to constantly, and consistantly stand up for the Klingon faction. I too used to more critical than I am now, but I looked at my warnings for stiring up trouble, and gave in a bit. For me I'd rather have more tame posts, than go all 'I told cryptic how they are messing up our game' and get banned.

I'd support a million Klingon march idea, except one problem... There's not a million Klingons TO march.. and somehow the 10 Klingon march dosen't feel like it would make a difference :p

I guess we're like the Klingons in the JJ Abrams movie, a deleted scene some may see when they look up the added features from the DVD, but like R2-D2, and the Romulan TOS BoP's added to the Narada.. not even noticed by the masses.

About new ship customization at T5, does this include cruisers? I understand birds-of-prey and carriers have some new options. If there is new options for cruisers, anyone know where some screen shots are?

Don't know if it has been mentioned here but Cryptic has given us a tentative time-table for serious Klingon PVE.
Now I know many of the KDF would like to see something earlier than this but the big thing we have been asking for lately is communication and a dev to come out and tell us SOMETHING!

    Well now they have.

I'll be tracking this content as we get closer via the Engineering Report forum. Keep in mind that schedules are always subject to change - but hopefully this will give you an idea.

And yes before we all start lamenting the wait...our last big request we have been asking for is communication. Here it is. I will wait to see now. Will I wait in or out of game? Dunno. But our question has been asked and answered for the time being.
Sure, we would have liked more and sooner.....but who wouldnt in our positions. But now I have an informed position to go on.
Let us look towards Season 2. If it isnt there by then...well.....we will see, we will see.
So for now, though yes I of course would like my x-mas earlier, shall protest no longer.
Yes we know it should have come sooner, yes we know it should have been done differently and in a different manner.
But in Cryptics defense RIGHT NOW....The question was asked, and an answer has been given. And for that I say to Cryptic: Thank you for communicating this to us.

    Now let the waiting begin

<and Yes I am cross posting across a cpl threads to get the word out>

Okay I'll bite - what cool things? Nothing I've seen listed in the Engineer report is cool enough to call cool. I was hot for the T2 cruiser at one point, but honestly that's a too little bone, too late. I'm playing my fraking Fed because I can't stand the repetitive grinding for so little experience that is PvP and Klingon PvE. WHY would I write anyone and suggest they do something I am not willing to do myself?

As for me, I'm cancelling my sub, just haven't decided whether to do that this month or finish the Federation storyline.

Neither Cryptic nor the Fedrats seem to get it.

They don't get that STO needs a viable Klingon faction and what that will take.

They don't get that the current PvP system lacks a great deal, it's queue system is broken and in it's limited state is not all that much fun.

And they don't get that adding exploration missions for the few Klingon sectors, while a step in the right direction, is a drop in a very large bucket.

Saying the Klingons are going to get "better PvE" in the summer update is, again, a step in the right direction. But where is their vision and plan beyond that? Where is the commitment to make Klingons right before devoting resources to a 3rd faction? Time will tell, but I'm not optimstic.

Had they said Klingons are getting 8 new sectors by December along with a decent amount of PVE story arc at each tier, that Klingon ship/character customization options will be doubled in the sumer update, that an open all-tier PvP sector and dueling arenas are opening as soon as they can put them together, that they are hiring a slew of people to work on this, that none of this will result in an extra charge and that they will keep us posted weekly THEN I would believe they "get it".

I want alot more done but it does sound like its coming , one thing i noiced on the test realm tho was alot alot alot of low lvls , this is whats cool to me mate.Even if Pve is the bait to get them over here we c an teach players Pvp.The impoartant part is we get ppl.

As far as you quiting I hope you don't hate to think you lived past all the TRIBBLE stuff we had , to only leave when things might MIGHT finally be getting better.
