2 char slots and you can play as a liberated borg are the current active perks
To clarify, those are the current active perks for the folks that got Lifetime prior to release. Those who get Lifetime now, get nothing, aside from the lack of monthly fees and the "thank you perks" that are yet to be released.

I still think lifetime subscribers should get these perks.
IMO, I think that lifers should get perks, and as they get rolled out, people that have lifetime subscriptions at time of release should get that perk. In a way, the rewards match up with longevity. The longer you have been a lifer, the more perks you have accumulated, and old perks should never retroactive to new lifetime accounts.

Speaking as a preorder Lifer, I actually don't think that makes a whole lot of sense. Lifers coming on after launch have an accordingly long time to reach the break-even point, so I really wouldn't have a problem if they decided to grant the slots and Borg to post-launch Lifers. Especially since new Lifers are the only population not getting more for coming in to support Cryptic later than sooner.
Dang. I see no reason to life yet, since you pay almost an addition $80 for significantly less content.
Not worth getting lifetime deal -yet- because you'd get "less content" now? I'm sorry but that makes little sense to me.
The only significant value of the lifetime deal is to have permanent (and then eventual free) access to this game. Anything else they ever tacked onto this like the Borg character or the extra character slots were complete fluff that added almost nothing to the core benefit of the deal.
I bought the lifetime deal before launch regardless of having access to the Borg or the extra slots, neither of which I've even used yet. I'm enjoying not having to pay an extra dime for this game and looking forward to being able to effectively play for free in about 14 months. If you're too busy focusing on the "extras" of this deal rather than the main benefits then I think you might have missed the point.
Well I just would like having the perks too. I know it'll save money in the long run, but it's a large initial investment. Would be nice to get more out of it considering the higher price now.
Greetings Lifetime Members!

Are there currently ways to become a lifer or was it pre release only. Would diminish the value of these in my opinion of you can still become a lifer when they stated during pre release that you had to pay for the life subscription before launch or you could not get it.
The original Lifetime sub invalidated your 30 days free. Now after you got your 30-days you want all the perks from the original Lifetime sub? That doesnt seem fair.
Quoted from the 'other' Lifetime thread.
I purchased a Lifetime when it was first offered but I gave up my 30 days. I was pretty sure that this game would be a success but having to pay before the game went live was still a risk. It could have flopped on opening day. I didnt get the benefit of waiting 30 days to see. So now you guys come along and after 30 days of free play you want to get all the benefits of a Lifetime that I got. It just doesnt seem fair.
I agree with you LawLessOne. I purchased a lifetimesub after release and during my 30 days free. I dont fell at all like I deserve the rewards you got for purchasing pre-launch. Just letting you know some of us understand the way things should work.
I'm probably an idiot and its right in front of my face, but, what is this unique costume piece that was given. I can't seem to find it (yes I have lifetime).

It hasn't been given yet because the patch hasn't gone through yet. Maybe they'll have it ready for Thursday.

I don't want ALL the benefits... just the "new" ones, if I decide to purchase a lifetime. You can keep your discounted price and borg character. Which I will indeed be getting, should I decide to purchase one.
It's the 'Front-of-Queue Support' I'm looking forward to
I have never ever seen a queue when logging in to the game, so this is really useless to me as far as I can tell. And in theory, useless to anyone, if they've upgraded their servers correctly.
I'm sorry to hear that we no longer get the playable borg and extra slots with the lifetime subscription. That removes the incentive for me to spend $300 for a lifetime commitment. I don't find the lifetime subscription features added in season one beneficial or attractive.

I saw a que once to log in, the day they tested the que system and put everyone in que (Beta)

Economically, do you expect to play long enough to make it worthwhile?
Mentally, do you like not having to pay a monthly bill ... combined with the ability to pay the $300 now?

Nobody can realistically claim if they will be playing this game long enough to make the $300 lifetime membership fee worth it. Anything from game design decisions that make the game unenjoyable for an individual, to a life circumstances change that outright prevents somebody for playing. Any one of us could die tomorrow. Or suffer a crippling injury. Other life changing factors could be entering into a new relationship, or if you are married already, having new born with special needs. The possibilities that could make this $300 expenditure a loss are virtually endless.
Realistically, most people are going to stop playing the game because of changes in gameplay that make the game unenjoyable for them. When this happens, lifers have given up their ability to 'vote with their wallets.' Ironically, lifetime subscribers probably care the most about the direction of the game, and they have the least amount of leverage.
Considering the increased chance of the gameplay going to hades in a hand basket in the two year break even window, and the loss of leverage, I expect upfront incentives. I wasn't disappointed with the playable borg and extra character slots as incentive.
I couldn't afford the lifetime membership pre-launch. I would have gotten it then if I could. It was a no brainer for the price, the head start play, and the perks. I can afford it now. But with just the new fluff perks and increased price its not worth it to me.

The 2 additional slots was part of the pre-order package. They aren't part of the current offering.
THIS. Plus you will get those "thank you perks" when they are released. I think.
Yes. All lifetime subscribers get the thank you perks.

Is that confirmed? And do people who buy a lifetime get the new perks if they buy after they are released?

YMMV. *shrugs*
