I'm a bit new to the rpg thing, though a lifelong star trek fan.. Love the game! My only real issue is that the flight navigation is.. lacking? It's not 2-D or really 3-D. I mean i can turn left and right, and dive and climb, but I can't do loop-de-loops, or anything really on an Z axis.. just X&Y. is this something that you plan to fix, or is this just accepted space battle modeling? I'd think it would be unidirectional.
At least in air combat games I can do most of what I said,. but got gravity working against me. I figured this would be more like riding a gravity free multi thruster surf board. sort of like the combination of sea and air.
I've got issues with ground missions too but only because figuring out how to thuroughly use my people well sill eludes me.
it has to do with the engine they used to build the game, if i remember correctly it couldn't handle "loop-de-loops". Do a quick search of the forums for x,y,z or ship movement, something like that. Tons of topics will pop up that I'm sure you can find a better explanation in.
