Fist, i am not talking about Skills here.
I am talking about the turnradius of the Escorts which make them a better choice to collect anomalies in this game while Cruisers have a hard time climbing up to that anomaly my sensors show right above me, at the Spawnpoint in half of the Missions.
No, i will not rant about the turn Radius of the Galaxy Class / Cruisers here... that was done enough allready and is highly unlikely to change. Also i think that the radius is fine.
My sugestion is that the Cruisers and Science ships get a much bigger Scanner range.... like 15k.... maybe ?
They are Science Ships, even most Cruisers are build with Science in mind, there are even "Science Cruisers" ...so my suggestion, while Escorts have a easier time getting there and bad scanners, Cruisers should get a big high resolution long range Scanner and no need to fly near enough to touch it.
Or maybe send a Probe there?
For Escorts the short scanning range is perfectly fine, cuz they are build as Battleships, no big science sensors needed there.
It is not like i needed to be there to beam that thing into my Lab, i have Transporters who can beam People onto Planets but for an anomalie i have to sit 1K in front of it so that i almost can touch it?
I yet have to play the Science Class but having a Galaxy Class and a the first Escort after the Miranda makes me think that Escorts are the best choice for Science, which would be called "Crafting" here.
In a fed ship, no matter what I scan, the ship looks like a defiant on my HUD.
Too hard to make it the ship I am scanning?
It only shows shield and armor, not weapon, power layouts?
I can see ships and they can see me from 15K away but they don't do anything. Just watch be beat the ever living love out of there friends. It isn't acceptable.
Well, as an escort captain, I actually agree with you on several points. However, how will we tacticals be able to compete with the science ships sniping anomalies with a 5k advantage?
Sorry just gotta same something here quick about this...
Star Trek Online

Mass Effect 2 - Retail Played Time ( 25.5 hrs )
I have a RA5, and a LT.Comm and I still think I have put more time into ME2 than STO. 2 characters so far one evil and one good! Can't wait for the new group member and the Hammerhead!
But that's just a single player game, so not sure why you are comparing that to a MMO..... /boggle
Your sig dosen't make sense to me.
Oh and im a ME fanboi, well Bioware fanboi to be honest!
That doesn't really help.. once you have started scanning something doesn't it lock other people out of scanning it?
How about an asymmetrical increase to scanning range.. give them 10km in front (forward 90 arc) and 12 km in the remainder..
So those times when the object in an arc that is hard to get to because of their turning radius, they have a bigger assist....
I don't think sniping would be as big an issue.. over longer distances (greater than 20km) the faster turn of the escort is going to mean they can orient to the object and hit full impulse sooner
Yea i'm tempted to vendor the anomalies that have been cluttering my inventory. It's not even very appealing for me to try selling them on the exchange.

I'm just putting my top 3 playtime's there (as counted by Steam).... STO is in the lead, thats all.
If you want to draw conclusions from that... well, i didn't even have finished ME2 or the STO Episodes yet and i dont have a third Steam Game worth of note to put there (yet).
ME2 is a nice game but i did not even finish it yet and i liked ME1 a lot more (played it like 5 times)... cant realy tell why, ME2 just doesnt draw me in that much, doesnt feel as Epic anymore.... and the hacking minigames are the ultimate Gameplaykiller for me.
DAO was also a nice game... but it teased me to much with those big LOTR style battles in the Videos and did not deliver a big Battle in the End, only nerfed 1 hit kill enemies and left me asking why i searched half of my time for +XX% dmg to Darkspawn runes if i dont need them.... Bioware lost a lot for me at that point.
Also i dont like their new DLC politics... i'll just wait untill they've thrown everything out there and play it all again later when the games are finished.

I'm sure you know, but in case you don't, they are worth 0 at vendors.

I have a BANK full of T1 TRIBBLE.. Alien Artifacts, etc. I still haven't bothered to to to Mem Alpha to trade them in... guess I shoudl do that sometime....

Is that what needs to be done with mineral samples, artifacts, etc... trade them at Memory Alpha?

I know. Mixed in was some weather relays, water purifiers, etc, etc. I still vendored it even though it was 0 credits. Some full stacks of 50 even. I guess i could have sold them on the exchange, i'm just glad to have the inventory room back. I'm not hurting on cash and there was a sense of satisfaction disintegrating each stack...

I believe that is the intent, yes. Go to MA, craft stuff, gain access to new trainers, craft more stuff, etc. Problem is all the stuff you craft is worse than stuff you can get on the exchange and money isnt an obstacle unless you're dumb and buy the very first thing you see on sale regardless of price.
But yeah the crafting is a letdown, lugging them back and forth to MA doesn't work for me, and now I do missions I deliberately skip anomalies. It's been a few levels since i've seen any ship, myself or an ally, go out of their way to scan an anomaly.

this is fixed in the next update, the ship you scan looks like the ship you scan.., i.e. my escort will look like my escort,

What do you offer as a compromise?
uuuh sry you didnt get what im talking about and what you are talking about is as far as i can tell allready avaible like you want it on tribble
@Preirin

And it actually being implemented? Sweet.
