FTP for the hoggs

Is there an ftp site where can download the hogg files so we can compare them sizewise? I have constant issues with crc errors, decompression problems, hogg files etc., I'm getting tired of having to avoid planets, avoid combat, avoid certain areas, because I know it's going to say texture/2/3 is wrong and force me to delete it and re-download it. I've done texture, texture2, texture 3, exes, bins2, bins3, data, there's only a few I haven't had to re-download...

It's not a disk issue, it's a new HD. It's not memory issues, I've had this computer running fine for over two years. It's not the chip, it's a dual core, never had a problem. It's not the video card, it's not high end but it's not low end, and it's newish.

I can only think these issues are caused by the launcher downloading these files and not doing a good job of it.

Please, I enjoy the game, but these problems really do ruin it. And I'm not alone, by any means, judging from the threads in these forums. If you have to password protect an ftp site so be it, we have our accounts and game serials.

Hoggs are unfortunately not cannonicalized, so that wouldn't help you. I'll see if I can make a little utility to do it though.

    How about MD5-hashes?

Non-canonical means you can't compare two hoggs and expect it to mean anything. Hoggs are big archive files, think of it as a zip file more or less. You can have two files in the hogg in different orders without it being a bug, but it does change the MD5 of the hogg itself.
