So i splashed out over $150 on STO collectors edition and have been left bored, ripped off and dissapointed. Its not fun, the customer service doesnt exist and its repetitive and suicidal. Im getting really frustrated and i am wondering if theres any way to at least get some of my $156 back. Its been over a months so i doubt it now, but plese people give me options.

honestly? Im not sure on the legalities, can only suggest you read the TOS to see if you arr allowed to sell your account. I have no other suggestions.
so basicially i just got ripped off $156 and i cant even sell the box? I'm not even gona bother customer service, i have other quesries for over 5 weeks that havnt been answered.
Any suggestions to get me to like[ the game?
Oh you can sell the box... Just not the account.
And don't how you are as a person and what you like/dislike etc so can't offer any suggestion on how you can like the game.
*edit* Note to self... Do not attempt to make a coherent sentence... Ever.
I think either you like the general game play and hope as time goes on the game meets your expectations. Which, unless you also bought the lifetime sub, will only include spending more money on the monthly fees or you just chalk it up as a loss.
If you do enjoy the fundamental game play, then you can try and make the best of that. Maybe join a fleet or something to get more active in a community.
Not making this post to encourage anything of the sort... but on Ebay in the last couple of days, there's been quite a few auctions that are selling lifetime subscriptions, bundled with accounts and all. Apart from the fact that its against the TOS, I doubt they'll break even, so why bother?

So, I'm gonna take the time to ask you a few important questions: Did you make any attempt to see if you'd like the game (even just playing in Open Beta) before you went and spent the $150, or did you immediately pick up that particular copy of the game?
You make constant assertions that you've been ripped off, and I'm finding that somewhat hard to believe from a legal point of view, to be perfectly honest. If you did make an attempt, you still probably over-reached a little bit and in the future should probably express a bit more caution to avoid similar circumstances. If you didn't, then it's your own damn fault and claiming that someone ripped you off is disingenuous and petty.
Next big question is... Exactly why are you feeling bored and disappointed? Answer to this one is probably more important then the answer to the first question, because feedback is always important. Were you expecting something? If so, what? Are you rushing through things and ignoring the text whenever possible, or is there something else?
Not exactly a lot of information to go on.
(Sidepoint: I'm probably being at least a little harsh, and for that I apologize. I don't exactly have any gentler ways of phrasing things, and besides a somewhat annoying negative tone in your posts, you haven't done anything to warrant rudeness [and even that, I can forgive in all honesty]. Please excuse my tendency to be blunt - s'nothing personal.)

You bought the game. You didn't like it. Bad luck.
This is the way things have worked since back in the days where VHS tapes were sold.
You could also put it away for a couple months and come back to it. It's been a whopping 45ish days since release. Not much has been added or fixed yet. The game was rushed due to silly circumstances (IP) so it'll prolly take 6-12 months to "fix" a lot of the issues and make the game more enjoyable for those that don't enjoy it (I enjoy it just fine, since I hit RA5 now I can just play STO for a bit a day and play other games also).
You have the lifetime if you can sell it by all means (if you hate it that much) but you can also just put it aside for now and come back to it.
OP never said he had a Lifetime sub, just the Collector's Edition of the Game box.
Protip: Collector's Editions are for a certain group of people: Collectors. These people generally like to accumulate things for the sake of accumulation, often times they are willing to spend large amounts of money for objects or questionable value to the general public.
While there may be some in-game perks to having a Collector's Edition game code, the primary price booster is the material objects you recieved, if you did not want to possess and keep these material objects, the Collector's Edition may not have been the wisest choice.

No legal ways, If you sold you account on line there s a chance the buyer would get banned.
No shop with buy a used MMO as the free days are gone.
Wow, thats nearly £100 sterling. My copy cost a quarter of that.
Its unfortunate that you do not like the game, I myself am not a big fan but I do hope that in the next 3-6 months changes are made to make it more of an MMO and maybe even an RPGMMO.
By the Terms of Service (TOS) and End-User Licence Agreement (EULA) you cannot sell your account. however some states (and countries) have laws that override that. My state does not.
You can however just stop playing and re-sub later. Likely everything will be here when you return. If you think about how much is here with a two-year development time, how much will be here in another two years.
I have to admit, I did feel a little ripped off when I paid for the game, and didn't receive my "I win" button, but then it made me realize that STO is an evolving and dynamic universe, and we as players get to participate and contribute to the cannon of this epic story. That should be worth any price.

You can always go play SWG, then come back to STO; you'll love the game after that experience.
This post makes me question your sanity. If this game was even half of what SWG is, Id be a happy camper. (I still plan to hang out for a while to see STO improve.)
So i splashed out over $150 on STO collectors edition.
$150? Seriously? How many collectors editions did you buy?
MSRP of those things is $80, and most stores are offering the collectors boxes for $70 (others for $75. I've neer seen a collectors edition for more than $75).
While there is a decent market for game accounts for *some* games, I doubt there is much of one for STO. The game is too new, too easy/fast, and too basic to have much account sale value. People buy accounts for two reasons, to get a level capped character in a game where getting TO level cap is a long process OR getting access to characters with gear they would most likely never see otherwise.
I sold one of my EQ accounts and one of my WoW accounts. Between the two them I got a little over $1500. However, those were mature games that, at the time of sale, were highly popular *and* required a decent amount of effort to get characters to the state of those on those two accounts. Both had multiple level capped characters with some of the best gear in the game (at the time).
The only possible market I could see for an STO account would be a LTS, and even then I doubt you will break even on the deal.

My only question is.... why??? The Collector's Edition was available online at all the retailers I saw for about $80.00 max. Did you buy several copies? Did you buy a year's subscription as well? Something doesn't add up here.
some states favor first-sale doctrine, some states favor EULA.
Invalid reference. None of the acts referenced apply in this situation. This type of contract (i.e. mmo and sub) has been upheld in every state in the US. Anybody believing otherwise is simply a fool.
My CE cost quite a bit less than that. Where did you purchase your CE copy from?
It's possible they aren't talking about US$
I know here in australia we only have access to the gold and collectors edition (no where has the standard version) and there's a pretty large mark up in price (particularly considering how little difference there is in our currency to US$ currently). I know it's like half the price to have the game shipped out from Amazon (US) to here than just to go to a store and buy it....little messed up really.

This is why I hate comparing games. For me, if STO was anything remotely near the NGE for SWG I would be a lot less interested. CU... I would be questionable, and the Pre-CU I would be all over it like white on rice. But thats my opinion. There are, surprisingly people that like what the NGE brought SWG. Unfortunately, it seems that not many since they have started closing servers down.

Yeah... the prices are ridiculous.
Approx $128.00 (depending on store) for the Collector's Edition
Approx $79.95 (again, depending on store) for the Gold Edition
The DDE from Steam only cost me, with conversion, $70.
The reason it cost me so much is beacuse it was $80 US for the game then $36 US for shipping =$116 US Since i live in NZ that = about $156
Say whatever you must but to me its real money.
