Not working for me either. Win 7 64. Tried exiting both from the point when I was playing my character, as well as logging out to the login screen, and then exiting from there. Tried this several times.
I am downloading a prepatch from what I can see but the message said when I log off it will start and get a 1.5gb download Im a little worried now tough im up to 2gb and it says 36% downloaded and patched 4bg/11bg.
if 2gb is only 36% then were looking at almost 6gb in total which seems excesive.
I've now downloaded a 2074MB patch 3 times after logging out: once last night, once this morning, and once right now. I'm fairly sure the pre-patch isn't supposed to be downloaded every time you play and log out. Then every time I restart the launcher to go back in it gives me a 16MB patch after then 2074MB pre-patch.
/me makes one meek attempt to clarify this. The "Patched" number has no actual relation to the amount of data transfered. It shows raw file sizes involved. The "Received" value is how much has actually been sent over the network. The patcher works very hard to minimize network transfer via things like copying local files around and only transfering changed portions of files instead of the whole thing. Just because it shows the "Patched: xx/11GB" does not mean you are downloading 11GB from anywhere.
Looks like I downloaded about 4 GB until now to patch 7 GB of files... still far more than 1,5 GB...
am I mistaking?
I don't see where you guys are getting recieved files this big. I only received 1GB and my partched never showed xx/11GB...mine showed 2GB, so how is it that I needed to patch fewer files than everyone else?

We're quite aware of this, it's the same standard that just about everyone else uses for patching. However, myself and at the very least a few others have had experienced downloads of least over 5 gigs. I haven't a clue what the total is since I went to sleep at 39% and it was already well over 1.5 gigs and my network shows 8,498,737,442 bytes received, so I'm assuming it's slightly under that. Not that I really care about files that big, that's what broadband's for at any rate. It does however mean that your system isn't functioning properly if you did only intend to download 1.5 gigs.

Well, I guess my 11 GB are not there by fault. Maybe users that already have the Tribble files installed don´t need the full files. That may be the reason you "only" had to download 1 GB... not that one gigabyte was a small patch.
However, I just hope the 6,5 GB I expect to recieve are all I need... because that´s a really huge patch.

The patcher shouldn't be reading the test folder. As far as it being a big patch, well there are alot of updates and bug fixes in the Season One update.
With my two accounts, one pre-patch is in process, while the other is not. What will this cause? How do I get my other account to pre-patch? I logged in and out three times. Any suggestions? I really appreciate your help and support. Love the game.

theres a pre-patch alright only thing is if you relog into the game any time after the thing prepatches it redownloads the whole damn thing again. theres no prompt to download it no nothing it just auto downloads the thing after logging out. and as stated if you log back into the game any time after it prepatches it redownloads the whole damn thing all over again.
Hi , i had the same issue, then i changed the options on the launch screen, i had only "show all games" and "show tray icon" ticked. and Language as English with the USA flag. and proxy set to US. game now patching 2074mb, at 7% as i type. hopefully after its downloaded its gonna work.. maybe i should of waited. until it worked with default Launcher settings.

Same for me. I cancelled the next downloads as this pre-patch didn't work "as intended" and load and reload and rereload 2GB... If it's already like that for only a pre-patch what will be the rest of the process...

Well assuming you mean that you have two accounts and you;re running them on 2 seperate machines then -> just let the prepatch finish on the machine that's currently downloading it. When it's finished go to the folder that has the prepatch files (C:/users/<something>/Cryptic/Star Trek Online/Live/prepatch = by default) and copy that prepatch folder in its entirety to your other PC, to the same directory. That way you don't have to download the patch twice.

I've had a similar issue, however i got about 75 percent through the 1.5 gig patch and for some reason i got a not responding on the patching window, i had to close out of it, then next time i ran STO then closed it, the patcher popped up again and started from scratch... lol talk about a waste of bandwidth
So anybody has come up with a solution for this? I'm at the fourth download...
I'm now planning to save my prepatch dir, but I don't know what to do next.
Well I cant even seem to download the pre-patch I get about 1% or so sometimes 30% if im lucky and it stops responding..perhaps someone could either fix that problem or they could create patches we can download and just install for the patch sorta like what WoW Does...it would help out thoughs of us with this problem cause then we could download it with something like Flashget and if it stoped we could re-start it.
I've tried countless times to get the pre-pstch snd every time it says that there was a server crash and has me tell them what i was doing. All my computer was doing was downloading the patch

Very odd 1.5Gb download
Patched 7000.0MB / 11GB
Recieved 4000MB ~ 62%
