Im in game and within 30m-2hrs the game just Shuts down my PC, this has only been happening since the last Content Patch, and it is very Random.
Now i thought it might be a bit of bad hardware so i stress tested the PC by running WoW for 6hrs and well WoW is alot heavier on Recources than STO is.
Thats where i stopped reading. Wow is the least resource intensive mmo on the market. You obviously do not know anything about computer systems if you seriously think that, or you are simply trolling.
If it's the former, then your computer is probably overheating or your current system cannot supply the power needed to run this game.
lol WoW is designed to work on half or less resources which lotro requires which is much less than that of STO
as ted has sugested check your system temperatures when playing STO, STO will get your machine hot so you need to keep an eye on the temps, if you can set higher fan speeds for your GPU
if you suspect a BSOD but your machine isnt showing the BSOD either:
from the F8 menu when your starting windows (the menu where you can select to start in safe mode) select
Automatic Restart on System Failure
or
open controll pannel
If you're viewing the Small icons or Large icons view of Control Panel, you won't see this link. Simply double-click on the System icon
Click on the System link.
In the task pane on the left, click the Advanced system settings link.
Locate the Startup and Recovery section near the bottom of the window and click on the Settings button.
In the Startup and Recovery window, locate and uncheck the check box next to Automatically restart.
