A few questions?

Hi everyone,

I was wondering if the mission difficulty scales as you increase in rank?

For example I have just reached Commander and have noticed that compared to the Romulan missions any time I go back and take on the Klingons the AI level is alot lower, I can take on wandering Klingons without taking a scratch.

Do you do any later missions against the klingons which are the same level as you?
I would like to hope it would scale to your level.

2nd question
Can you intercept the wandering enemies or do you have to wait until they are in a fight already?

3rd question
Are they going to change the entry point for the wandering enemies so that you don,t enter surrounded by the enemies ?

I just reached Commander for the first time and I like the Heavy Cruiser class ships etc, they sure do make a difference in the fights lol

cheers

To an extent - the higher level PvE opponents have tougher ships, better weapons and more abilities.

There are certainly Captain rank missions that feature Klingons. Not sure about Admiral.

You can intercept (and be intercepted) by wandering enemies of around your level or higher. If you are much higher level than the wandering enemy, they won't attack you and your only option is to wait until they are are in a fight already.

    I don't know, but I doubt it.

Yes and no. Generally episode content, fleet actions, sector patrol missions, and even the deep space encounter stuff has a fixed level range. Once you outlevel it...you outlevel it. So the enemies there will be easy pickings to you, unless you're deliberately gimping yourself by flying a lower rank ship. Or using lower rank weapons. Or whatever.

Exploration missions do seem to always scale with your level, though.

There's currently some Captain rank sector patrols that have Klingons, but that's mostly a leftover from the devs swapping around some systems during beta, and will probably get changed. Eventually.

I think you can deliberately fly into them if you really want. Generally lower-rank enemies won't try to intercept you, though ones of equal or higher rank will home in on you.

Supposedly, yes. You're talking about the Deep Space Encounter maps, correct? This is on the list for a future patch; the devs are aware of the issue.

    Just another question,

Before I do it , I was wondering do you get any credits back for discharging a ship?

Nope, and anything equipped on the ship will be lost, so make sure you strip it of all equipment (you can sell it if you don't need it) before discharging.
