#1 Please ease up on the confirmation dialogs. When I click "Beam Up" on SB1 and get the face asking me if I want to beam up or stay, that's ok. The following confirmation asking if I REALLY want to go is excessive.
There are several other places with similar dialogs and excessive confirmations, all associated with leaving a planet/system/base. If the mission isn't complete, nag me a bit. It's ok. If the mission is done and I want to go, send me on my way without the extra nagging please.
#2 There are way too many currencies in this game. 1st Order, 2nd Order, 3rd Order, etc Exploration badge, sheesh! Energy Credits, and who knows what all else. And you're adding more! Oi!
Please, at least with the Exploration Badges, let us convert the lower order ones to the next higher order at a 2:1 ratio.
#3 Give more character slots. Seriously, alts are what is going to keep people in this game. Hitting the level cap doesn't take that long. Six character slots for starters, then let people buy more.
That's my 3 simple requests, the next one isn't quite so simple. Can you please get the market under control a bit? I mean seriously, Plasma Array Mk IV for 9,999,999 (or whatever the max is) EC? Really? So we have gold spammers buying low and trying to sell high so people with give them $1 for 100k EC..... Or is there some other reason for insane pricing?
They'll be giving you the ability to buy more character slots trhought the C-Store,
One Character takes up a lot of storage, You got your Character, your ships, your BOs, ect.
For how much? $19.95/slot? No thanks. And I am aware of their intention to sell more slots.
And storage is cheap. Believe me, I work in IT. While setting up a SAN initially may be pricey that part is already bought and paid for. As for the media, storage is cheap.
What I am saying is that the default number of character slots you get with the game is too low, and that this decision is not in their (Cryptic/Atari) best interest. Does the phrase "Penny wise and pound foolish" mean anything to anyone anymore?
If not, let me expound on that for a moment. They cheesed off enough of their CO user base by trying to charge for new content that they decided to make all future content (Seasons) for STO and CO free. A wise decision IMO, but if they'd made the right decision to begin with they'd probably have a higher continued subscribership in CO instead of a reduced one.
In short, if we are treated like valued customers instead of marks at the carny (consumers) they stand to get a LOT more money from us. Case in point: When City of Heroes started selling the Wedding Pack (their first super booster, a microtransaction for $10) I winced because I saw where this trend might go. But when I saw WHAT Paragon Studios did with the money (trippled dev head count) I was more than happy to spend money on the rest of their super boosters. I now have all the super boosters except one (which I keep meaning to get) on one account, and a couple of them on a 2nd account.
The reasons I suggest 6 character slots by default should be obvious, one for each profession for each faction. This is enough to get started and when additional factions are introduced players will have to make the decision to delete existing characters or buy new slots.
But even 6 slots is pretty low when compared to other MMOs. CoH is 12 slots/server for a total of 120 slots on the live servers. And the slots are reasonably priced at 5/$20 if you buy in bulk. Given Atari's current (and past) show of stinginess I'm not hopeful for slot pricing over here. Again penny wise but pound foolish.
Don't misunderstand me, I think this game has lots of promise and I can see that the devs are committed to improving it and adding to it. If I didn't enjoy the game I wouldn't be here. But I am afraid that Atari is going to try and wring every last penny out of this game and end up driving their customer base away.

I have to agree with the first two items on your list, but this one makes me LOL every time I see it. Players knew before game launch, that the lifetime subscription offered not only Liberated Borg player characters, but an additional two character slots.
It's becoming obvious to me that people are upset over the fact that they only had 3 slots to begin with. If that were the case, then you should've gone with a lifetime subscription to get 5 slots total instead of three.
And *IF* Cryptic does give standard monthly-fee players additional slots for free, that lifetimers like myself will continue to have the 2 additional slots we paid for; on top of what everyone else is getting automatically.
I

Putting down a large amount of cash just to get two more character slots, yet still have fewer character slots than most MMO's automatically come with, did not seem like a good choice to many of us.
I can see the reasoning for the different exploration badges though...it is something to work for and more importantly, something to do!
More slots? Absolutely. We shouldnt have to pay fo them though. Maybe if they offered like 8-10 slots, then I would open to paying in the C-Store for more, but not until then.
I also agree that the confirmations are annoying, but I think it is in place to prevent people from clicking on something accidentally - like a QoL sort of thing...it is annoying, but tolerable. I can think of a few more important things to get done to make things better than these three issues though:
- fix the bugs
- more content and content updates
- more ship designs to chose from
- diplomacy system
- First Contact missions
- Shipboard missions!!!!
- Up the RA cap w/ content
...just off the top of my head. I know some of that is coming already, but since it isnt here yet, it made my list.:)
Whiskeyed up Ensign O'riley has locked himself in Engineering. And set the self destruct for a ten minute countdown.
Get to engineering, figure out some code for entering Engineering, then figure something else for the deactivation code for self destruct!

#1 and #2, agree and AGREE! The confirmations are an unnecessary nuisance, but all the different types and then level of currency is just downright annoying. Instead of Exploration badges of this or that order, how about you just get more of them for doing higher level explorations? I now have a bunch of 1st and 2nd Order badges I can't really use, can't trade, can't get rid of. Yeah, I guess I could buy stuff and sell to a vendor or on the Exchange, but that's not the intended use for these things. Have 1 badge type, 1st Tier missions give you 50 (for example,) 2nd Tier 75, etc., or some other progression so players don't just farm the Tier 1's all day.
#3... Meh, maybe 1 more slot is in order, but I honestly don't think that many players are interested in running more than 3-4 characters. I have 2, only 1 is really active, and no one in our fleet (of about 9, i think) runs more than 2 with any regularity. I could be wrong, perhaps the demand is greater, but unless it is I think microtrans from the C-Store would suffice if the price is kept reasonable, akin to the 240 Crypari points for a Klingon Fed.
Regarding the Exchange, those incredibly sky high prices are players using it as another storage bank since no one will buy those items, there is no limit that I know of, and for now they don't expire.
#4 Sometimes durin actions ( when you are fighting ) dialog boxes pop up in middle of screen and don't let you play attention in whatever you are doing, is possible to have an area of screen configured by HUD options, to put this dialogues in other position? So, when you can play atention to read conversation, you find in this position, and while you can't, this popup don't disturb you.

I may very well yet buy a lifetime sub for this game (and I thought it was only 1 additional slot, not 2) but I won't be doing it for the character slots.
By all means, if they up the number of character slots for the base sub anyone who has purchased anything that gives extra character slots should get what they have purchased on top of the base slots for a monthly sub.
I'm not trying to advocate ripping anyone off here.
#3!!! I am not sure I agree with number 1 or 2 so much or care enough, but I really really want more charecter slots, I am actually kind of desperate for more charecter slots because I really want to start on a klingon faction charecter, also look at my post http://forums.startrekonline.com/showthread.php?t=139366 talking about asking for more charecter slots

P.D.: Sorry for my bad english.
I'll agree with that as well. If you're under Red Alert then either the action should pause or Communications be disabled.
Putting down a large amount of cash just to get two more character slots, yet still have fewer character slots than most MMO's automatically come with, did not seem like a good choice to many of us.
While there are some common basic ground work/aspects to all MMOs, just because one MMO gives you 20 character slots, doesn't mean all MMOs will. Frankly, it's a little short-sighted to be complaining about the number of available character slots. If you decided you didn't want to put down the $240.00 for a Liberated Borg, 2 additional character slots, and all the other perks that lifers get, that was your decision. Cryptic made it clear that players would only have 3 character slots at launch. And they've now said that additional slots will be purchasable from the C-Store.

#1) I am not complaining (much). It's in Cryptic's best interest to make more character slots available, for the reasons I outlined above. Yes, I'm talking about the ones you either didn't read or didn't address.
#2) Lifetime Sub is now $300 and I may yet get one. However it won't be for the 2 extra character slots (which I was unaware of, thank you for the info). And I am not suggesting that the additional base slots should not be given to anyone else who has purchased (through whatever means) additional slots. I am saying that there should be 4-6 base character slots. If anyone has purchased additional slots they should get those on top of the base.
In short, Cryptic/Infogrammes is being penny wise but pound foolish. You would hope they had already learned that lesson from trying to sell minor content upgrades on CO and driving away a huge part of their customer base with that greedy, grasping action.
