Does it make any sense at all that once your ship exploads either in pvp or pve that your crew is still recovering after respawn? Realistically speaking, your crew should be back up to full. In terms of game mechanics, the only thing that should carry over from death to death is ability cooldowns (as is in WoW).
I post this in the pvp thread index because this is where this "death penalty" part of the game really becomes a problem. This is all just my humble opinion, but was it intended or just something the devs looked over?

In theory, anyway. We will have to see how 1) (lasting) death penalties and 2) spawn point protection affect this.
