So the seasons Cryptic releases, these are game play additions that are in the game for ever right? Not like temporary events I hope, since at least story-wise seems like the season has a lot of content to it and I for one would be really bothered if it was something that was only here short term and then the next "Season" was added and the last "Season" taken out. So in short...
The season is a content update that just ADDS to the game?
I don't know what you're talking about when you say "Seasons".
I think you're referring to the Special Task Force content like "Infected" that was recently released. They have not indicated in any way that this content is temporary. Frankly, given all the content complaints they'd be fools to add content only to take it away in a month or two.
In STO "Seasons"' are game updates that add content and fixes (like in City of Heroes they are called "issues"; as in comic books). The are not temporary (although the bugs introduced with them will be, hopefully.)
I've heard some people are confused thinking the Special Task Forces are pulled after the end date on the calendar, but the the Calendar is set up with a range of release dates;
We've just put together a tentative release calendar for you to check out. Please note, the date spans indicate release windows for the content listed, as development in a live environment makes it difficult to list exact dates.
