Would I be able to play Star Trek Online? I understand that it doesn't meet the minimum requirements, but nor does it for World of Warcraft which seems to run fine.
Definitely no, I wouldn't even bother trying. Even if you can get the game to run, it won't be in a playable state. Your graphics card is integrated and of a very low spec - it rates far below even the nvidia 6600 go and that's already under the minimum spec. On top of that it relies on shared memory, of which you have too little already.
You have to remember World of Warcraft is about 5 years old and has much lower minimum settings. So it would be playable on minimum settings on a machine just below the minimum specs, but STO won't be. Your CPU is sufficient, but you need a much faster gfx card and 2gb memory at the very minimum with a shared memory card.
If you do decide to try it you'll need that Intel 945 chipset to have the latest video driver. Use the have disk method if there is an OEM driver conflict.

As a fellow gamer stuck on a lower end system i hate to inform you, if you do get it to run, you will find that it doesn't run well at all.
I'm running on a AMD Turion dual core 2 ghz, 3 gigs of ram, and intergrated nvidia 7150 (with 128 locked to the vid card, max setting)
When i use the /showfps 1 option i find that on average i get 10-20 fps, with 60-200+ ms/frame. If i end up in a system where there is more then one thing goign on, or just a massive asteriod field the frame goes to under 10, and the ms/frame shoots to 200+ (when it says 4 f/s and 300 ms/frame i know the 4 is a lie).
over 200 ms/frame and your head will start to hurt, over 300 ms/frame and you better have some friends to do anything you need to do, because moving won't really happen.
Alas, i wish the responce could be better but from a system that is already under min requirements, even if just some, i can tell you that min requirements are almost totaly min requirements for this game. As was stated above WoW was setup to scale down to meet our inabilty to upgrade, and STO doesn't forgive. Good luck on finding an upgrade to your system!
My mother's laptop has a Core 2 Duo and 3 GB of memory, but even it can't play ST:O due to the integrated Intel graphics chip it has - farthest it ever got was character select, and that was so fuzzy and blurry I wasn't surprised when it couldn't play the opening movie without crashing.
So, no, that computer likely will not play ST:O... I speak as someone who DID get ST:O running on my previous P4 2.8ghz with a 6800GT, although at minimum settings.

Edit: WoW can run on a 950 mhz machine with a geforce 4 ti. It's designed like that. STO is designed to run on modern hardware.
