I got a Gamestop (US) Collectors Edtion of the game. It came with the Consistution Cruiser. Im happy about that. I was wondering though if you can still get another bonus. I was in Best Buy one day and saw STO regular with the targ pet and tribble bonus on the cover. If i got that could i add it to my account and claim the war targ even though i have the gamestop bonus? Also if I bought the STO in best buy would i get 30 days added onto my subscription time? If anyone can answer this it would be great thanks!
You can claim multiple bonuses, but I'm not sure about the added subscription time. The special tribble is cool, and I like having the targ following around my Klingon character,
Cool. What does the special tribble do and if I get the bonus game will i get the tribble and targ or just one of them. If anyone knows about the subscription time please let me know.

The tribble is for all your Federation characters. It's pretty much like the other tribbles in the game, except better. Normal tribbles give a small out-of-combat self-healing boost. This is pretty inconsequential.
Rarer tribbles give certain ground bonuses that last for one hour on your character...there are three buffs, a damage buff, a resistance buff, and a regeneration buff. Now, it's possible for any player to breed a tribble that has up to two of those one-hour buffs - yes, you can breed tribbles.
However, the special tribble from Best Buy is different. It's even better. This tribble cannot be bred, and it gives your character all three of the one-hour buffs when used.
Note though...we don't know how good these buffs are. No numbers are displayed. It's probably a very small bonus. But there you go.
It's worth mentioning that Federation-side Klingon characters can't use the tribble. They can claim it, but it won't work properly for them. This is intentional - Klingons hate tribbles. There's a special epic tribble fail animation when you try.
Anyway. The targ is for all your Klingon faction characters. The Targ is a non-combat pet that follows your Klingon-side character around.
TL;DR version: Tribble for Feds, Targ for Klingons. One for each of your characters. Tribble is a reusable item, grants buffs. Targ is non-combat pet, follows you around.
If anyone knows about the subscription time please let me know
Yes. Adding another game code will give you another thirty days game time. If you buy two regular copies of the game, you get sixty days total.
Thanks a bunch. One more thing...can you have both tribble and targ or you have to pick one of them. When I buy the game do I put the activation code into a game card code slot to get my time and bonus or do I do something else thanks
Ok so my fed charactor will get the tribble and kilgon charactor will get the targ. Thanks. And anyone knows about where i put the code please post thanks

You don't get to choose. It depends on your character's faction.
Federation characters can claim a tribble.
Klingon characters can claim a targ.
If you have two characters, then you can get both - but not on the same character. Unless you have magic faction-changing super-spy powers. Or a removable bumpy forehead. Whatever.
For the key, use the normal product activation enter key area on the website. I don't know if the game-card page will work, but I can confirm that the product activation page does.

Each one of your characters can collect either the tribble or the targ depending on which faction they are. I haven't purchased more than one game so not able to answer on exactly how that works but I would suspect you just enter in the code as you did for your original game and you would be granted the 30 days.
That's just a gimmick, though. The line-of-sight trick isn't really a good reason to keep using the gun in regular PvE gameplay. It's supposedly useful in PvP though.
Have looked at the Borg BO but it's just a reg officer right? It's just the look nothing more? If I'm wrong could some one correct me.
Actually the Borg BO is a 'Purple' BO (Very Rare) with the 'Efficient' Space Trait, and the 'perk' is the only way you can get such a high quality Engineer BO so early in the game...

Wasn't the gun strictly a Pre Order bonus? i don't think you can get a hold of it anymore.

If the retail box shows it, then you can get it. It wasn't attached to the pre-order keys at all. Pre-order just meant you were supposed to be guaranteed to get the retail box with the proper code. Remaining ones can still be on shelves.
OK whent to Best Buy today. Looked at STO box. Its 50 dollars still. Yes I will be gettng the bonus but only 30 days of time compared to a game card for 30 dollars with 60 days of time. Does anyone know if games sold in retail stores (not downloads) will come down in price. I want the bonus dont dont know if I want to pay just 50 dollars for it. Will pay 30 though as it is an even deal. Thanks

Best Buy price matches the other big guys if any of them have it lower. I doubt they'd price match Amazon or Atari.
In reference to the bonus from the tribble, I have found the first tier of buff tribbles give 1 damage increase or 1-ish HP regen or 1% damage reduction. The second tier of buff tribbles gives 2 damage increase, 2-ish HP regen, or 2% dmg reduction. The next tier is a dual buff which is about the same as the previous tier. The 4th tier of buff tribbles give +3 to damage, HP regen, and damage reduction. The 5th tier or level 8 tribble gives +4.
The question is where does the best buy tribble fall in this lineup. The best way to tell is to hover over your weapon and view the damage/DPS. Use the tribble and check again. The delta between the two will tell you how big of a buff that thing gives. I'm guessing probably +3 HP, Damage, and resistance, which I would take that over a level 8 tribble anyday.

It's only got the damage of a newbie weapon. So obviously in terms of DPS...it becomes obsolete very fast.
The thing is... the TR-116 rifle can apparently shoot through walls. It does not need line of sight to do damage.
If you've seen the DS9 episode where the TR-116 is featured, you'll understand why.

If it were my option, i'd definetly go with the Tribble, but have you looked at the Borg bridge officer that comes with the Amazon version?
