Disconnected From Server

SystemSystem Member, NoReporting Posts: 178,019 Arc User
I have been disconnected from server alot recently. After clicking on support it asked if I inputed my retail key. I did that the day game launched. I have been experiencing it alot in the past few days.

My computer is up to date. I not only think it is a server issue, but I think it had something to do with the last patch. COME ON CRYPTIC, FIX YOUR SERVERS. It is not a IP problem on my end, so it must be the servers. I can't play more than 30 minutes without this happening to me.

    If it was a sever issue it would not be just you.

    You'll more than likely find that your connect is being blocked or reset by your ISP. Is it an instantaneous disconnect or do you have a warning and then time out?

    It could also be your router or modem dropping the connection due to small packets.

    I don't see how it could be my router.

    I just started getting this today after many days of playing with no issues. Something is up.

    Is it happening on the same server and port? Yes you both may be getting disconnected but why?

    You have to troubleshoot the problem, I've seen network interface driver issues, routers that can't handle small packets, ISPs that block or reset connections, etc.

    Create a new tread and post up your dxdiag to start.

    Run dxdiag from Start - Run or from a command prompt. After it has finished running click on Save All Information at the bottom of the screen next to Exit.

    Save the text file to your desktop and then open it up, copy the following four sections and paste to the forum.

    * System Information
    * Display Devices
    * Sound Devices
