The problem is that if players come in late then they may not even see the rest of their side in order to join a team, or you encounter the other players in the middle of a fight and don't have time to futz around with creating/joining a team.
If not auto-teaming, then at least add the ability to invite/join teams by clicking a player's marker on the map, and let every member of a PvP team send invites instead of just the leader. Having to type "invite JoeCool@accountname" while other players are hunting you is kind of rough, especially when you don't know the @accountname part of the name.
Some form of auto-teaming would be great. If it can't be mandatory to join the team upon entering a PVP map, then at least make it easier for people to add the other people on their side. The best way might be to allow us to add people to our team by clicking on their name in the Report chart, since that's how we usually tell who's on the map. I understand that in PVE you might need one team leader to be in control of who to add, but in PVP it should be changed so every member of the team on the map can add new people who are on the map.
