    Run dxdiag from Start - Run or from a command prompt. After it has finished running click on Save All Information at the bottom of the screen next to Exit.

    Save the text file to your desktop and then open it up, copy the following four sections and paste to the forum.

    * System Information
    * Display Devices
    * Sound Devices

    Your graphics card is well below our minimum spec by the way. Basically that means we don't promise it will run, though we will do our best. Just something to keep in mind if you hit and gfx problems.

    How did you manage to get this version of Direct X on Windows XP ? Last I'd heard was the to get Directx 10 you'd need to be running Windows Vista.

    Here's my windows Directx Diag to show that.

    Why I ask about this it may just have something to do with the crash you've been having, and it's not quite the game causing it.

    Believe it or not, I just had this issue. I'd been playing on Tribble for a while, then exited. I then read something on the forum that made me want to log in again, but same thing - it crashed when I hit Engage. After a reboot, it worked.

    I'm running Windows 7 64-bit Home Premium, if it's any help.

    Side note: Before I got this new computer, ST:O would run (at minimum settings of course) on my 256 mb 6800GT.

    I have personally found that if I hit the tribble shard button before holodeck has finished doing the patch check, I will get the crash on Engage.

    Can anyone else test this and confirm please?
