When they say the Big Dig is available, do they mean playable, or available in the sense that I can once again sit outside it asking if it's broken again?

The devs have said in the test server forum that we will be able to play it.

No just the title, social area, and free c-store item.

Do those lifetime benefits apply to all lifers, or just those that got in on the pre-ordeR?

I'd guess all, as that's more incentive for people who missed the pre-order subscription to get one now.

I'd imagine all lifers since its past launch. That would be the smart approach. Sell more LT subs that way.

Looking good! I like that there are new elements for all strata of gameplay; social, pvp, missions, costumes, C-store items, and even stuff for us lifers =)

    Way to go!

The Captains table sounds like it's going to be a ship interior based on Captain Archer's dining room. Sucks that it's being reserved for lifers only, while the rest of us have to wait until July for ship interiors. I like the rest of the updates though.

All lifers should get it. I wish all lifers would also get the prelaunch stuff too. I was a prelaunch so not saying "give me" but I think Cryptic would sell more LTS if they let new ones get the slots and playable borg too. I already got it at 60 dollars cheaper so I think that's good enough win for the prelaunch purchase.

Is the table a place or our ship or sort of like a social map we get a transport power to? I was thinking it was the latter because if it's on our ship then it would require the ship owner to invite. And wouldn't the one we invite also have to be a lifer to enter?

Gotta give the lifers something. They took a pretty expensive chance on this game. As for me, I'm just glad they seem to be working on the game.

I'm not sure, but the name "Captain's Table" to me implies a ship interior based on Jonathan Archer's captains table.

Whoa, whoa. Beg pardon, but when was it officially stated that ship interiors would be coming in July? Or is that just a logial guess?

Would. Love. Ship. Interiors. So. Very. Much.

I can wait till July, too. :D

Cryptic is looking at the next big update to arrive for Star Trek Online around July, with another possibly near November: "We know that we just had a player survey when you first arrive at the site, and, like, ship interiors. [Players] want a whole lot more there, want a whole lot more functionality, why are other players coming to my ship, what's going on there? So we're making sure in July that's one of the things that we do. There's a big huge outcry for first contact missions, diplomacy missions, more non-combat within Star Trek, so we're really making sure with that July update we're really focusing on that."

You mean the planet that it's on? No idea. Fun map though, tested it on Tribble.

In the Tribble server, the Captain's Table currently appears to be a space station accessible from a portal in the Sol System. Hopefully when it launches the access to it will be from a door on your bridge, if only to not taunt the rest of us. Regardless though, as it currently stands, it's not on your ship. It's a space station that both sides will have access to where they can intermingle. I believe there was a book with the same title with that as the premise (doorway appearing to ship's captains which leads to a bar (the "Captain's Table"), where they trade stories with other captains from across space and time, regardless of species, affiliation, or anything else, so long as you command a ship).

I don't think that was called the Captain's Table. I tested it on tribble last night and it appeared to be the neutral social area that the devs said everyone would have access to.

Oh I wonder if the 'Captain's Table' isn't a place on our ship but the name of a private club. Like that VIP lounge in COH/V.

Respec is on the list, check again. The devs have also said elsewhere that character slots would probably be added to the C-store in this update.

No, he is right. That is the Captain's Table (it's even labeled as such when you're in the station). Remember there are two new neutral social areas on the test server. The Captain's Table is the one you can access through a nebula near Sol Spacedock. While the other, the one that will be available to everyone, is in the Neutral Zone in a system that previously wasn't there, starts with a "D"-something if I remember correctly, it's run by Ferengi.
