When i try to log in to the game the client says "unable to authenticate." Why does this keep happening?? I have preorder and a 30-day reoccurring subscription. I am not very happy for not being able to play a game that i am paying for.:mad: Can I fix this on my own or is this a server issue?

What does http://www.startrekonline.com/user show for your product and subscription details? Can you copy and paste those to this thread.
Make sure you start STO with right click Run as administator
If you have a retail key and active sub in there, you'll need to make sure Star Trek Online.exe and gameclient.exe have access to the internet (outbound) on tcp 80, 443, and 7000-7500 on your software PC firewall and on your modem / router.
Check the STO log files for errors that match the date and GMT time stamp.
