This says it provides a stacking damage resistance debuff to an ally, but can I also use it solo? Thanks!
Edit: I currently have Security team and tactical team and I don't really get a sense for what it's doing. I would rather have a more "visable" ability, and I don't really care to increase my dps. I was looking for something more useful in another sense. Any suggestions appreciated. I am in a science vessel.

Answer in two parts:
1) Attack Pattern Delta cannot be used on yourself, and is cast on an Ally in range: Any enemy that attacks that ally, will take a stacking Damage Resistance Debuff for every attack (IE: The more they hit your ally, the weaker they become to damage by everyone, including the targetted ally).
2) If you're looking for something to increase your personal damage, I'd recommend instead going for Attack Pattern Beta (which is usable on yourself, and applies a Stacking Damage Resistance Debuff to anyone you hit for it's duration).
HYT would be a good bet. If you're not using science team and/or engy team, tactical team may be a good choice as well (though I ask you WHY you're not using science/engy teams :P)

i know it increases dps but then so do pretty much all tac abilities.
