All night had had to listen to QQ'ing feds about how I abuse / exploit / grief / whatever else. I must have gotten tells from 6 different feds freaking out at me. (Sara was classic) I will explain to you what it is I am doing so maybe you will spend less time complaining in chat and more time trying to defend yourself.
BOP- 2x Dual heavy 1xQuant 3x Turret. Full cannon / Disruptor spec. 3x 30+ Disruptor power 2x + 6 weapon power. (125 weapon power)
I sneak up pop my tac cd's and unload at close range. I hit you with tractor+ jam sensors right away. Here is the key - DON'T use your only science team right here silly. I got tell after tell about Haxxor killing while cloaked. /sigh. So many feds pop there science right here and as soon as I see them re-target me ... I Viral Matrix. Continue to blast away. (Canon rapid 1+3 High Yield 1+3) Most die here and I suffer 0 damage. Some good feds live through this and I pop Reveres shield and start the fight out with a huge advantage. I guess the point im making is .. NO its not abuse / Haxxor / Exploiting .... You simply don't know wtf you are doing or how to defend yourself. The only valid bi*ch right now is 25 second Sub , I am guilty of chat QQing about this one myself.
I was threatened by a klingon 2 days ago with reporting me for haxing, when i vaporized him with shield disable + dispersal mine drop. WHiners are on both sides We are all just people.
As I have been saying this game will be reduced to people who have chained science abilities like JS and VM, and people who chain science team. Rather silly if you ask me.
I believe you could actually pop the VM right after the Tractor and Jam if you wanted and they wouldn't be able to do anything about it. Science Team seems to cure ONE debuff, and I believe it's the oldest one. So if you stack Tractor, Jam and VM on someone, it will only cure one and I think it'll cure the first -- tractor. They'll still be jammed and VM'd.
I actually think this is a big problem. The only SOLO solution to this is to pop RSP right away. That will give you the ability to hopefully hold out until VM drops.
In a good group, of course, teammates can put more Science Teams on you, fix you up with Hazard Emitters, Extend Shields, etc, but solo I think the only way to reliably live is preemptive RSP.
Doubly true if the person doing this is a Science Officer, since the first thing they'll hit you with is SNB. And then you're screwed.

What Feds using Sci team for Tractor beam?? Polarize hull. I do the same thing here with my sci vessel.. guess what...I have more toys then he does... to stop you in your track etc. Adapt.... And I got Viral III....
Personally I'm sick to death of having to listen to angry 14 year olds vent about how they died. No one else cares if player X vm'd you. Or you got hit with SnB. Or such and such has RSP. That multiple people killed you. IT HAPPENS TO EVERYONE.
To some players EVERYTHING is an exploit it seems. You use any ability and they deem it a personal affront. You die to a carrier with just 8 fighters out they are spamming fighters..... The list goes on and on.
I would LOVE zone to only go to your side/team. Have some globals like Good game that are sent through as a message in a time war and leave the endless stupidity and epeening out of the games. When you are fighting in a war you don't have to listen to the other side emo as you shoot.
I still say if something is broken the devs should fix it. It isn't upto players to fix it. So if pvp annoys you that much send a email to Cryptic and don't pvp until it is fixed. Everyone gets lamed at times and dies in PVP.
I honestly believe that klingons could just sit there and do nothing while the feds pound our ships into rubble and they would still think we were overpowered/hacking just because we revived.

I see teammates being chased and assisted down.. I will stop my doing go in hit one with a tractor beam and then the other with viral matrix.....Crowd Control at its finest... even if they have the counter.. it will buy the teammate time to re group, heal -up and shields regen...
Interesting how for every one post I see that is a Fed QQing, I see twenty posts of Ks going all whiney emo about how people unfairly judge their "leetness" and everyone hates them and they're sooooooo misunderstood. Gosh, Klingons, just go cry and cut yourselves while listening to My Chemical Romance and give us a break already. All this QQing about other people QQing about you is just getting stale and sad.

they use it on the Jam ... and yes you are probably one of those 25 second SUB guys. Agreed a counter to my setup. (to any and all setups). Joking aside ... a good science Fed will indeed put up a damn good fight.
I honestly believe that klingons could just sit there and do nothing while the feds pound our ships into rubble and they would still think we were overpowered/hacking just because we revived.
You mean klingons sitting and cycling 3xFBP...sorry, couldnt resist
I had that jam sensor then viral used on me while I was piloting my star cruiser but it only really worked on me once and I managed to live through it because I saw the viral coming in and popped RSP. After that everytime the bop pilot would jam me; I would just ride it out.
I've noticed a lot of people confuse the effects of jam sensors and cloaking; and instead of them asking you what ability you are using they just start insulting you with stop cheating or quit cloaking coward.
I play on both sides; still in tier 2 for my klingon though.
Can you see the incoming Viral Matrix purple blob if under the effects of Jam Sensors? I don't think you can see weapon fire from the jammer; not sure about VM.
I don't think you can see it while jammed only reason I saw it was I popped a sci team to get out of it and oh TRIBBLE vm coming towards me so I popped RSP.
Last night I got to listen to a bunch of Klings cry when their attempt to spawn camp one guy turned into an even fight...which they lost. There are whiney lamers are on both sides trying to single one group out is just dumb.

Shame on all of you for arguing and pointing fingers at each other! I try to QQ at least once a night, sometimes it goes higher. The main points to QQ about are one or more of the below.
1. FBP
2. Subnuc.
3. Battle cloak and run away
4. VM
5. VM
6. More than two people shooting me at once with or without VM, FBP and jam sensors
7. <reserved for future use>

In all honesty I just started pvp'ing recently and as I should have got waxxed the first few times before I got to savor a victory. I think there are a few things that should be looked at as far as BO skills but lets face it...the end of the day the team that plays the smartest wins period. I do however think that they need to work on it. You sit and wait forever to get in and the match takes about 1/10th the time that you waited and its over. 95% of all federation PvP are TRIBBLE. it's that simple. Most of them all morons. They don't work together, they full impulse EVERYWHERE!!! ALL THE TIME
And this isn't an opinion, it's fact. AT LEAST 90% of them do it, probably 95% maybe even 99%.
They lack coordination, cooperation, tactics, skills and general brain power.
If Klingons have anything that's more powerful than federation players it's team work and brain power.
I'm done with federation PvP. I will now only ever PvP as a Klingon, my fed tard will support him financially.
They lack coordination, cooperation, tactics, skills and general brain power.
Maybe they utilize their brainpower and higher functions on things other than using their pixels to blow up other pixels in a fruitless attempt to fill in bottomless holes in their self-esteem. Perhaps they find fulfillment in life through means other than proclaiming superiority at something completely trivial. It's possible they took William Shatner's advice and got a life.

First, let me say that I only play PvP as a Fed.
Second, everything in the quoted post is completely true. However, it doesn't invalidate the points that subnuc and FBP are OP, nor that Klingons can use both of these skills more easily and effectively than their Fed counterparts. But most of the time, PvP is over before it begins because the Feds won't team up and have joined PvP with PvE setups. Right now there are a handful of viable PvP setups at T5 and the Klingons are going to be packing them nine times out of ten. This makes sense as the only way a Klingon got to T5 was grinding through PvP. Feds on the other hand, get to T5 through PvE, run out of things to do, try PvP, and get mauled.
I run a beam cruiser. I carry eight Mk X disruptor beams and have the power to run them. Based on reading this forum, you would think I would have an awful PvP setup because I'm prime FBP bait. And it's true. If I hit someone with a full broadside and they put up FBP I have to spam my hull heals and hope for the best. And a subnuc-VM is as much a guaranteed kill against me as it is anyone else. But I will still walk away with the top Fed slot most of the matches. Why? Because if I see someone FBP, I will remember them and wait for them to be vulnerable. Because when I enter combat I will have multiple viable targets and switch rapidly as needed. Because I will attack at very long ranges from odd angles. Because I have RSP stacked just like all the Klingons. Every BO ability, console and device I have on my ship is there for the sole purpose of winning at PvP. Most Klingons would say the exact same thing.
FBP and Subnuc need to be toned down, but I wouldn't panic if I were a Klingon when it happens. The Klingons are still going to dominate PvP because that's what they know how to do well.
with people like you laying claim to title others it is no wonder most of the community disregards QQ posts and unitelligent people such as you as trolls and flamebaiters.

you know what, you're right, there are more complex issue a work here. Granted, the name calling wasn't called for, I apologies, I could have used more sensitive and politically correct terms to point out their dysfunctional cognitive processes.
And yes, there are some abilities that still need work and balancing. Not a single kilingon I fought today used beam weapons, so even if I had feed back pulse it wouldn't help me, on the other hand I didn't have it used om me very much either. Out of 5 or matches my team (or rather the loosely aligned assemblage of vessels under mutual nonaggression pact) was defeated by coordinated tactics used against an non coordinated force that was constantly being yanked out of full impulse.
But even when the abilities are more balanced, federation players will still full impulse every where and they will still run off in 9 different directions like headless chickens. Simply patching a few abilities and reworking damage mechanics will not fix this issue.
As it stands as a federation player, unless you already have an organized group in PvP you have 2 options at the start of combat. You can follow another federation layer into full impulse and present the klingon armada with 2 easy targets or you can be the straggler and the armada's scouts will soften you up until a more vessels can show up.
Sadly I can not comment on what 2 organized groups fighting each other would even be like as, after a full week of simi-regular PvP, I've not had the luxury of being on a single team that worked together. IF I had fought in even ONE battle where my team used team work, weather we won or lost I'd be happy. And after that, I might have an opinion on feed back pulse and stealth detection vs cloaking and all of the other hot topics, but I can't get to that part of the mechanics until I can see a need for them.
I agree most of the skills need a looking at. But that won't change much. It only means the fed players will live that much longer.
And for the record, I didn't say all feds, 90% or 95% might be an extreme number, it might even be to high of number, but the fact remains that MOST of the federation players will not use tactics and will full impulse everywhere and spread out. That can not be disputed.
I could have used more sensitive and politically correct terms to point out their dysfunctional cognitive processes.
So they're mentally deficient human beings just because they aren't uber-leet-pwnage PVP gods? How sad it must be to view life through such a small lens. I myself do very well in PVP, and I agree that Fed players should use more teamwork, but to assume that these people are essentially stupid just because they don't play a certain part of a particular video game well is almost too ignorant to comprehend.
Maybe they just got the game today. Maybe it's their first time playing PVP. Maybe they just got bored with PVE and decided to mess around in PVP without really trying. Maybe they hate PVP but are just getting it out of the way quickly for a mission completion. Maybe they're confident enough in their skills that they want to be ganged up on to see if they can handle it. Maybe they're testing out some new defensive abilities and want to see how long it takes for five Ks to kill them. Maybe they genuinely are bad at the game because they spend time doing other things like working or having friends or something insanely wild like that.
Those are just some of countless reasons why anyone might not be utilizing an ideal PVP strategy in any given match. But please, go ahead and assume they're all "TRIBBLE".
there are so many players making basic errors, hell tbh i get lazy too, but rather than drop impulse at 12k and move in (when i am fightting another) they get within 5k and subnuc me for...4s followed by a vm which is prompty cured with ST1, that is a long cooldown wasted. it would have taken 3s to wait for the battery power to recharge to get a 15-25s sub on me, or get 75 from a battery before you fire it off. so JS and they swap targets move off.
escorts can rip me a new one at 125 wpn power before i have time to react if my attention is focused but no, they zoom in a full impulse and open up with a wpn power of 5, so i notice the slight dam, have a look around and JS the offender. the escort then immediately swaps to some cruiser with rsp up, rather than pop a ST and finish me, i then finish the current target and have a quick look about at the tactical situation and either cloak and run or finish the escort. a sci team then would have saved you both, not sure why you saved it, i am going to sub/vm/debuff you when it is your turn to die that sci team isn't going to save you then.
My toons name is Outcast, i am a subnuc/vm'er (took 2wks therapy to say that) if you see me on the t5 roster know that if you try to cap alone i am going to find you and kill you. It takes so long to cap i can fly over have a look, get a nice position, drift in to 5k and slow to 1/4 impluse decloak blow you up wait for recharge on cloak and move off. QQ if you must, flame me for using the 'lame combo' whatever in the end until it is nerfed, or until i cam get my hands on some bridge officer skill combos i would like to try (i have seen them but they are all on starfleet toons dammit) this is what i am going to be using.
So they're mentally deficient human beings just because they aren't uber-leet-pwnage PVP gods? How sad it must be to view life through such a small lens. Maybe they just got the game today.
Statistically, it's unlikely that everyone I played with in the past week, out of roughly 90 games, just got the game today AND was RA.
Maybe it's their first time playing PVP.
It's possible that it was their first time PvPing, but I would have had to run into at least at the VERY LEAST 30 people that did know what they're doing.
Maybe they just got bored with PVE and decided to mess around in PVP without really trying.
Again, everyone I played with?
Maybe they hate PVP but are just getting it out of the way quickly for a mission completion.
Not very unlikly with the new dailies and all.
Maybe they're confident enough in their skills that they want to be ganged up on to see if they can handle it.
I doubt it.
Maybe they're testing out some new defensive abilities and want to see how long it takes for five Ks to kill them.
Every person exept me for a whole week? Really?
Maybe they genuinely are bad at the game because they spend time doing other things like working or having friends or something insanely wild like that.
That's the second time you implied that, ok you have a job, good for you. Having a job doesn't make you bad at PvP. Not having a job doesn't make you good at PvP. Heck, even practice doesn't guarantee you get better at anything, PvP included.
Those are just some of countless reasons why anyone might not be utilizing an ideal PVP strategy in any given match. But please, go ahead and assume they're all "TRIBBLE".
One small flaw in your idea. Probability. It's simply not possible. And I don't mean the literal definition of TRIBBLE, I just mean that they lack skills at PvP. Technically, they do fit that bill, they're tactical TRIBBLE, what where you thinking off? Some one with down syndrome? Please, the English language is more flexible than that.
An no, I'm not saying that simply because they can't PvP that they all have a low IQ or are just plain stupid people, I'm referring to their lack of PvP abilities. They're stupid at PvP. They're tactically inept.
Why am I explaining this to all of you? for that matter, why is every one trying to defend them? I don't recall ever saying anything that's not true. Most federation players can not PvP.
Heck, I don't even like PvP! I hate it, and not because I'm bad at it, but for the same reason I dislike the bulk of competitive multi-player games, because I'm never on a decent team. And I'm not just saying that to make myself sound like some superior being who's awesome at PvP and halo and what not. I'm not. I suck at CODm I'm ok in Halo and pretty good at TF2. But my skills in anything can only go so far with out a proper team. I shouldn't even of had to explain that last part, but I know that the next step would be for you guys to to say:
"riiight, because you're so bad a$$"
I my be coming off as an elitist PvPer, but again, I dislike PvP. I'm only saying what I've experienced. And again, none of this particularly untrue.

The Klingons are still going to dominate PvP because that's what they know how to do well.
you know what, you're right, there are more complex issue a work here.
But please, go ahead and assume they're all "TRIBBLE".
escorts can rip me a new one at 125 wpn power before i have time to react if my attention is focused but no, they zoom in a full impulse and open up with a wpn power of 5, so i notice the slight dam, have a look around and JS the offender. the escort then immediately swaps to some cruiser with rsp up, rather than pop a ST and finish me, i then finish the current target and have a quick look about at the tactical situation and either cloak and run or finish the escort. a sci team then would have saved you both, not sure why you saved it, i am going to sub/vm/debuff you when it is your turn to die that sci team isn't going to save you then.
