Go to the Spoon head costume changer at Sol, click your bridge officer, and there should be a 'save' button at the bottom. That'll save her look and height and all that.
Try saving the BO as suggested above and then when you're in the new character creator see if it'll let you load the costume.
I know it works the other way around as I've designed most of my bridge officers from the player creation screen and then loaded the costumes to them when I'm ready for them join up, but I've never tried it that way...
It looks like you can...provisionally. It'll cost you around 4000 ec's and there might be a slight delay from when you save it BO to when it's actually available to load but it seems like you can actually do it.
I say provisionally because I didn't actually buy the costume change. But I was messing around with it so that I could create screenshots of all my characters and it looks like it would allow me to turn my Alien male character into the alien male bridge officer from one of my other characters.
As long as the costume is saved and you are trying to load it to the same type species/gender it seems like it will work.
So, I have a question for anyone who can answer it.
I recently bought the DDE, which also allows me to play a Joined Trill (Finally decided to make an alt)
Since I RP, I figured it would good if I RP'd as one of my main's Bridge Officers getting her own command. Since she is also Trill.
Since STO saves constumes as screenshots in your screenshot folder, is there any way to alter the screenshot file so it is usable for Joined Trill?
Simply trying to find a better way to copy the exact look before writing down every setting one by one and doing it by hand.
If I'm understanding correctly you:
-Have a Trill BO.
-Want to make a Joined Trill character that looks just like your Trill BO.
Is that correct?
As others have suggested, you should go to the tailor, load up your Trill BO, and use the costume save feature to save her look. From there you'll be able to create a new Trill character and use the load costume feature to load up the Trill look you had saved from the tailor.
However.. I'm going to bet that file doesn't show up when you try to create a Joined Trill character because the game probably considers Trills and Joined Trills to be completely different costume files. If that's the case, you're stuck going about this the old fashioned way. I suggest loading up your Trill BO and jotting down the position of every slider bar. All the bars are notched for a range of 0-5, and if you do them in order you won't have to label everything. So, you'll end up with a list that looks like this:
Then you move the sliders to the matching positions on your joined Trill. This should work; I'm assuming Joined Trills and Trills are built the same when it comes to the costume designer. You can not, however, copy human settings this way and expect them to work on an alien because the 0-5 range on the alien sliders represents a more drastic range.
Comments
least it should.

Hopefully that makes sense.
