How Can I tell What Team (Red / Blue) I Am On When I Enter PvP ?

I have no idea whose side I am on when I enter a PvP situation. This could be so simple to fix, by having your info surrounded by a blue or red outline.

Another thing I wish they would change is the colors that appear when you target someone. Currently friends are like an orange, and foes are a yellow. On the map at least they made your foes appear as red.

However, if you run into a bunch of people fighting close quarters, you have to select people individually to see which side they are on, and sometimes its hard to tell the difference between the orange and yellow.

I think it would make more sense for each person to have either a blue or red 'aura' around them, or perhaps a circle around their feet, so you can see at a glance who is friend and foe. This would really be helpful in KvK. Even in FvK, with alien races, you can't tell right away who is who.

    Red = Klingon
    Blue = Fed

    If you mean KvK then yeah, I dunno. I don't think Cryptic put any real thought or effort into KvK. I never figured out how to tell what team I'm on. I've also not seen a KvK game launch in about 3 weeks.

    I remember a bunch of space control battles where I had no idea whether my team won or lost (or were winning or losing) cause we didn't know which team we were on. It would've been really frustrating if it weren't so silly. :D

    There is a pvp menu you can bring up that I can't recall the command off the top of my head..its like /pvpreport(?)

    or /reportpvp(?) or similar it lists the teams under their colors

    Click on the report button while in the pvp match. You will have to move the window down because it is covered by another window. Hit esc and use rearrange HUD option Move the pvp missions box down.

    I think you mean KvK, else it's blue=FED, red = klingon.

    But in KvK you can also look where you spawn. The spawn between sensor array and asteroid refinery = red, the spawn between sensor array and asteriology lab = blue.

    Or use the advice Mike gave you and click report.

    I have also noticed that in KvK that the House of Martok is Blue and the House of J'mpok is Red. So if you red the opening dialog you should see who is attacking.

    Also when you see someone about to die watch the score counter; if it is an enemy then your counter will go up, if it is an alliy the enemy counter will go up.

    Thanks for the information. Again, I am not well-versed in PvP from other games. I never did PvP until this game.

    But I think it should be made clear what team (Red or Blue) you are on when you zone in. You shouldn't have to watch someone die (because at times as soon as I zoned in, the person dying was me) or bring up various windows. It should be clear, right in front of you. The font of the scoreboard I see on the right side of the screen should be blue or red, or it should list your team at the top of that window.

    Also, when I run into another player I should be able to tell instantly what side they are on. Yes, if you are in a FvK, the race of the other person is a good indicator unless they are an 'alien'. But I think you should be able to see something like a colored circle around their feet or a red "R" or blue 'B" above their head.

    Shouldn't the zone-in point and respawn points be a safe area? I have respawned at times right in the middle of the other team, or perhaps across the room from them in plain view. I am immediately stunned or held, and dead a second later.
