Immunity to Subnuk, VM, etc?

I have read in a handful of places about Science team being some sort of Science ability counter and for some/all? of these effects provides immunity to the effects. So if it does give immunity and you always keep a science team active on your ship (i.e. get 2 science teams and refresh every 20s) does that make you immune to some/most/all Science debuffs/crowd control pretty much indefinately? Yes of course it does basically eat your Crew timer to the point where you cant use Eng or Tact team or Boarding Party, but if it did totally negate all Sci debuffs it seems you'd render many of the opposing science ships abilitys to a state of almost uselessness while giving you permanent shield resistance buffs.

Please feel free to point out my misinformation or big flaws in my potential tactic. By no means take my post as tested and confirmed as I'm just theorizing here from posts i've been scouring. :confused:

    science team no longer gives immunity. it just removes one debuff.

    I think they broke Science Team. I don't recall reading where they made it act differently. If you have sci team running VM should not work.

    SNB has NO COUNTER. NONE. NADDA. ZIP. ZERO. ZILCH.

    VM you can use either Omega Maneuver, or Science Team.

    HOW EVER...

    If some one SNBs you, THEN VMs you enjoy death..
