My ingame ticket: Server keeps going into "server is not responding" mode or DCs me....
And this is the anwser i got: Thank you for taking the time to submit this bug report. Your issue will be processed and entered into our database. We will thoroughly investigate and take all appropriate steps based on the information you have provided. If you feel that you may have not included all of the information which may have been relevant, or that you have found new information, please create a new Bug Report. If your issue has been resolved since you submitted this report, please close your ticket by viewing your tickets, and selecting "Close Ticket". Due to the number of reports we receive, we are unable to respond to each report individually. If you require individual assistance from our support staff, please submit a GM Help request. We will then attempt to contact you in-game as soon as possible. If your issue would be better addressed by our Billing or Technical Support teams, please visit www.startrekonline.com/support. Star Trek Online is a living and evolving experience. As such, the Game will continue to change as we implement and polish new features, which are a key in the continuing development of a dynamic play environment
Well i thank you for that enlightning response, i have in my 15 years of playing MMOs never gotten a automatic responce by submitting a ticket. And to that, NOT dealing whit the problem ticketed!
Atleast give me a response telling that its a new or known issue and its being fixed or looked into...
It further annoys me that there have been NO response or KNOWN ISSUEs announcements about a problem that have been persistant for the entire day.
Not knowing if the problem is being fixed or even known, makes me wonder if i should just quit now and ask for a full refund or keep waiting for a anwser

Well this is my point too. There are lots of people that have logon problems / lagging / disconnects today. And there has not even been one little official post on the forums or on the main site saying they are aware of the problems and are looking into it. Thats the least you may expect.
Out of pure rage and the fact i dont have any any way of knowing any Cryptic employee know this i will act like a angry customer and shamefully bump this message and repeat doing so untill a anwser have been given or a anouncement is made concerning the connection issues.

And the funny part is that coderanger didn't say anything about a bug report, he linked a forum post about it where he even goes into detail what the problem is. Fail troll is fail.
Forget what that ****** coderanger says... they have been canning the bug reports for a few weeks now. So you might as well NOT submit bug reports. Just come here and complain. They may respond with some lame excuse if they decide to stop surfing TRIBBLE sites. Or they may just ignore you. But you can at least vent some of your frustration. And if that's the best you can do ... you may have to settle for that!
You aren't doing yourself or anyone else any favours with this kind of post. It just shows a complete lack of understanding and respect.
Is there something about the title of this thread that makes people not read things?
Jumping to conclusions is pure WIN! Why read what others have wrote when I can just look at the title and rant about what I think it might be about LOL.

You are correct! I was speaking out of anger and frustration. And I apologize to coderanger. I don't need to call him names, or verbally assault him.
Part of what I do not appreciate is that Cryptic is just giving us auto-replies to all our Support Requests. In my estimation it would be far better to not reply to all bug reports. It would be better to reply to some when they are trying to sort a particular issue out. But generally save the 'replies' for GM contacts.
Cryptic, on the other hand, seem to want to "save face" by automatically 'resolving' every issue. But the plain truth of the matter is that they are faking it. They may not even be reviewing the bug reports in any way, shape, or form. And this suspicion arises from other situations where Cryptic Representatives, like coderanger, tell us things that are contrary with facts we can observe.
Specifically, numerous players were having connection issues yesterday. At first it seemed those issues, at least those reported on the forums, were isolated to Europe. So coderanger starts a thread where he states that the problem was originating with some ISP in Europe. Still that failed to explain why some of us at other locations were having connection issues. And some people in Europe were not having connection issues.
As you can observe, I live in New Mexico (that is in fact part of the United States ... for those of you who slept through civics classes) and I was having connection issues. I wanted to try and trouble shoot things from my end but Cryptic's Tech Support Department didn't want to cooperate. So I came on the forums looking for some IP address associated with the STO server cluster. That's when I was introduced to the situation on the forums.
Now I personally prefer to analyze connection issues with a program name Ping Plotter. It graphs network performance, across multiple nodes of a traceroute, over time. This allows you to see that say 'hop 5' is spiking intermittently from say 50ms to 250ms. Whereas a regular traceroute probably won't 'see' that spike. It also shows you information that identifies who 'owns' that node. So in my case I can tell if the issue is with Qwest, or some other provider along the way.
I've used Ping Plotter with several other MMOs to which I've subscribed. And I still have IP addresses for their server clusters. So the first thing I did was to 'test' my connection to a few other MMO servers. And then I found the IP of the STO patch server, which almost certainly is co-located with the rest of the STO cluster.
That left me with a Cryptic Employee, namely coderanger, claiming it was "not their fault". And I can't stay connected for more than 2-3 minutes. Mind you there is No Real Issue on the network between my location and their servers, as measured in a 2 hour period. But I log in, start to play, get a "Server Not Responding" message, then I'm dropped. And it keeps on happening!
And some of you wonder why I don't trust people like coderanger? I mean at first I thought ... If this guy is from Cryptic's Netops "we are all screwed". But now I realize he is just some junior intern that got thrown to the wolves. So he doesn't realize that some of us (out here) aren't stupid. We will verify what he is telling us. And it doesn't do any good to "fabricate stories". The truth is that he will eventually learn.
Still this gives Cryptic no excuse for trying to cover up. And they are trying to cover up! They desperately need to get a "GM Team" in place. And it needs to be people who know and care about the game. They don't have that yet. But if they don't get a clue, at least some of their subscribers, will find their lack of service unacceptable and cancel. Cryptic needs to stop "thinking" like a company that 'can't afford' to provide service.

The answer to that is much less tin-foil-hat, the issue was originally reported by EU customers, and by the time we figured out it was affecting more users I didn't bother to go back and change the thread title since the answer was still the same :-P
