far to often am I in games where star fleet members are doing anywhere from 0-like 9k damage there's no reason for it unless your 5 or have no fingers. the only thing i can come up with is gold farmers, you shouldn't get paid or get medals in pvp unless you do over 10k damage or healing thats easy to accomplish even in tier 1. and i have for sure seen people join games and just float straight up or down and stay there for the whole game anyway it seems like everygame i play i do over anywhere from 4-8x better than the people on my team once in awhile a real player joins and thats refreshing. but yea tired of seeing team members do like 300-25000 damage max no healing dieing all the time when im up around the 250k plus mark in damage and have done more healing not just to myself either. maybe i should just give in and join the winning team seems like thats what any half good pvp player did lol...................Klingons are screwed once FVSF comes out anyway that or maybe ill get lucky and just all the bad players will do FVSF

probably the best thing Cryptic did (maybe not intended) credits are ez to get. Not to mention there are different ways of aquiring items for the Federation and like 2 ways for Klingons. I really don't see how any gold farmer/seller can make profit in this game, unless u really have some lazy rich bums who prefer to buy credits to buy some low level items.

So its probably more towards powerleveling. Although...leveling is ez...too.

Someone probably bought the power leveling service and the guy knows he doesn't have to try hard to get skill points in PvP. Probably alt-tabbing to play another game and grind gold at the same time to be more efficient. Reporting the lazy ******* is the only thing you can do.

A few reasons to combat your rantings (Seriously, it isn't always gold farmers):
    1) Games rarely start even, and those people could simply be joining late. Because you are not removed from other pvp queues when you join a game, you end up with this wave effect of people joining games.

    2) The game could be to far gone to try to save. You are rewarded whether you win or lose, so it is beneficial to win or lose in the fastest way possible. Until they change this, you will have people contributing very little to a losing game.

    3) Shield damage does not factor into your damage. Holds, debuffs, and disables do not factor into your damage. A player using all of their power for auxilliary powers and shields won't be able to crack anyone's shield.

    4) Swarming and tab targeting occasionally lead to some one-sided and statistically lopsided battles.

    5) You could just be supermeagaawsomesauce at pvp, and your teammates sit there dumbfounded as you lay waste to the klingons, beaming and torpedoing and evading and shielding and just being your supermeagaawsomesauce self. I mean, I could barely keep my concentration writing this just being in the presence of your post.

I feel the real reason for this is that many Feds have no idea what they're doing in PvP, zoom in with their PvE setup and get destroyed. The other reason is there a lot of Feds who are trying to get their daily Mark of Honor quest done who have no idea about or desire to do PvP. As far as they're concerned, the faster they can get through the PvP, the better. I'm saying this not as a Klingon, but as a Fed who plays a lot of PvP.

Yet another flaw with T5 PvP. Giving a great reward (marks) for losing motivates the insipid.

It's entirely possible that those are 'bots'. As a programmer I can tell you it would be pretty easy to write something that would queue a character and then just constantly alternate with tab and space bar to get some damage at some point so... My vote is that it may be gold farmers. However as Neko said I have definitely seen Feds with PvE setups 'trying' and getting that type of score.

There is a credit reward for completing the engagement.

I see people afk all over the place. Borg Hunt especially.

One thing I've spotted a few time lately is people joining PvP ground games just to loot the supply crates.

Seriously, that's all they do, just run from one crate to the next; then just stand there until they restock and do it again.

Just something to keep an eye out for.

Which is silly. By the time you're in T3, those crates don't even represent an amount of money that's worth anyone's time to loot -- you'll make enough just from the end mission reward to buy a lifetime's supply of hypos.

that i really dont understand they have no value really and you can buy them from vendors though the only vendor i actually know that sells them is on the Klingon side im sure a star fleet vendor must sell them somewhere. but all that is my pointt exactly if you dont do anything in a pvp or fleet action game you shouldn't get a reward should be like a 10k damge or healing minium or something its bad enough there is a tun of awful star fleet players really dont need to add a bunch of afkers.... hell so often do i join a patrol and people will zone in and just sit there and try and wait for me to complete the whole thing myself lol 2 people tried that **** when i did the Ground zero quest
maybe a vote to kick option would be good?

Last time I looked, large PvP hypos were going for 5k a stack on the exchange. Dunno if anyone was actually buying them; but I guess there is always someone with more money than sense.

you know what I do on either of my Klingon or Fed toon, when no opposing team has q'd in or its 5 v 1, i just loot crates on ground maps till the teams even out or q'd in.

Yeah I do the same thing in a ground match where we have superior numbers. I only engage the enemy if they attack me. Once the numbers are even (or we have 1-2 less than the enemy) I search and destroy. But I don't fight when I am on the losing side of 5v1 either. I just don't respawn until reinforcements arrive.
