Hi. I was hoping to hear some suggestions, of officer abilities, directional moves, camera controls, shield and energy management, along with weapons firing that could be sequenced to great effect using in game console macro commands. What do people want to see? I have made only a small few, and would love to hear recommendations/ get other binds from other players. Using this thread :
http://forums.startrekonline.com/showthread.php?t=66110

Please recommend what commands you would like to see sequenced, and ill try to generate a script. For example

a very simple combination of reinforce rear shield, activate evasive maneuvers, and full shield power
/GenButtonClick PowerLevel_Preset_1$$+TrayExecByTray 0 7$$+Power_Exec Reroute_Shields_Rear

Works good for escaping.

For a nice ram combo ramming, reinforce foreward shield, power to engines

/GenButtonClick PowerLevel_Preset_2$$+Power_Exec Reroute_Shields_Forward$$+TrayExecByTray 0 6

Lining up weapons in the 10 slot u can fire combos as you desire. Go torp, dhc, dbb, turret . Line them up 1 2 3 4 in the 9 bar.

Then Dhc+ beam+turret
/+TrayExecByTray 8 1$$+TrayExecByTray 8 2$$+TrayExecByTray 8 3$$

For FBP use DHC+turret
/+TrayExecByTray 8 2$$+TrayExecByTray 8 3$$

Torp Only
/+TrayExecByTray 8 0

The combinations are limitless.
Try these. Design your own. Recommend what you want me to try. Thanks and good huntig <S>

Thank you, and my wrists thank you. Finally someone is using their head and taking the tedium out of this game.

I appreciate what you have dine and encourage u to post more. Don't listen to the people that will say you are creating a macro. PvE is a macro of sorts and no one complains that the E is smarter and better then they are. If someone wants to make a script that can play by them selves, let them try. We all know they can't and this just takes the tedium out of all the controls.

    Thank you again.

Oh no, are we PvPers ruining PvE again?

If these can help my opponents match my reaction times and APM, fine. In fact, the PvP metagame will improve if every match had higher caliber players on both sides.

yeah so how bout some responses of people making use of said buttons? i really want some ideas for buttons. i m thinking toggle turn left, camera zoomout, reinforce right shield, target nearest enemy. as a good one for if someone pops rsp, feedback pulse, jams, or cloaks on you and you want to switch targets on the quick. But at any rate i will post more dieas as i come up with them and the associated scripts when i get time. REMEMBER powers with "activation" times cant eb sequenced, cooldowns are still obiously relevnat, and only there are only so many functional commands. At the very least every one can have multiple keybinds setup for avrious lodaouts by using multiple text files. Ill post mroe in detailed advice as i can, and update the first post and format it nicely. thanks for ur interest!

    <S>

we all want pvp to be beteer. i think if feds had better controls/understanding they would be alot more formidable

I know on Tribble, there's no activation time for High Yield and Rapid Fire. So some sort of Alpha Strike Power-Up button maybe?

This kind of ridiculous TRIBBLE needs to be squashed immediately. Cryptic needs to lock down their scripting interface so that players cannot execute these kind of things.

Script ignorant here. If I wanted to use the scripts the OP gave examples of, how do I do it ?

    Thanks

Do a search on /bind commands.

its essentially writing out a series of commands and binding them to a single key...

You need to clarify for the end user (who won't be script savy) that /genbuttonclick or /bind (if this still applies) is the key you are pressing immediately after hitting enter.

PowerLevel_Preset_1 correspnds to weapon power maximum by default and should be rearranged or to speed and shield setting increases to your specifications.

PowerLevel_Preset_2 or _3 might be more to their liking by default.
