Logitech G15 issues, help requested

I have a Logitech G15 and I have a repeatable auto fire macro programed on it that works on the "test profile" option but doesn't have any effect in game. I was wondering if anyone know if there are any settings I need to set up to get it to work in game?

You might want to see my ran^Winformative posts about macroing before you decide thats a good idea.

close your "Logitech G series Key Profiler" from the system tray in the right hand side of your "Windows Explorer Bar" then reopen that program from the start menu as administrator. That will do the trick...

I support macroing as long as it is not automating your game play to the point of afk playing. Running a macro to save on the wrist and equipment damage that tapping the space bar every 2 seconds can cause makes sense. Macroing excessively... not so much.

Our policy is exactly what you would think it is: you can use whatever keyboard you want. Any form of automation of gameplay is grounds for a ban, and "I thought this macro would be okay" won't hold up as an excuse. Basically if you are using macros to do anything more complex than our existing /bind system already does for you, you are probably doing something you shouldn't. If you have to ask the question "Will I get banned for this?" the answer is almost always "Yes". As for if we will ever ban someone simply because they have sneezed near a G15, no.

I don't care if you use a G15, AutoIt, a VNC script, etc etc, the results are what matter. Proceed at your own risk.

See my earlier rants about macroing on the G15 threads. Short version; using it is not against the TOS as long as you aren't gaining an advantage over other users.

    *snip*

if you seem to be magically doing much better than average, we will find out why, and we won't be kind.

Any game where a program mashing the spacebar as quickly as possible gives a player an advantage needs to have a serious look at its game mechanics, so I'm hoping that that isn't going against the rules.

    edit: as a side note . . .

    DEVS: Auto-fire glitch using okay?

    Hello Cryptic,

i'd like a clear answer on this: Is it okay to glitch all weapons into auto-fire by rapidly right-clicking the weapon icons or will it result in a (temp/perm) ban?

As much as I'd hate not to be able to use auto-firing - it's better than losing my lifetime subscription.

So please: give us a definitive answer.

    Cheers!

Yes - we're going to ban you - but just you, LKynes. : )

No. We won't. In fact, we're actively looking into opening up the auto-fire feature like you guys have been asking for. It'll probably be a little but before we release a solution though.

We're currently not planning on fixing the multi auto-fire "bug" until we have a real solution. Don't worry, no banning.
