I want the slowest way to play.

I have a lifetime sub.
I want the slowest most painfull way to play a federation char.
Right now I just discard everything I loot.
I use nothing on my character , no shield, no weapons.
I am about to just play with the TOS Consitution with nothing on it except the default layout.
I beam down with just 3 security.
Is there anything else?

I only play the Feds once a month. The rest of the time it's KDF since PVP ground fight is the only thing I think this game has going for it.

Why bother, then? From ypur attitude, it seems that it would just be a waste of your time anyway.

There is no need to be good I don't care about leveling or seeing new thing because It's all the the same. A borg is the same as a klingon. I'm bored with this game and so I want other tips for how to max out the difficulty in this game in order to milk my life time sub.

IF YOU DO NOT HAVE ADVICE DO NOT POST.

But how can I be an effective troll if all I do is post advice, an not slander TRIBBLE threads?

Switch hands. Use your off-hand for the mouse or keyboard, whichever is most used. That should slow you down.

You can set the target range to something small. Right now it's set to 0 (no limit). Try setting it to 1. That should force you to target everything with the mouse unless it's right next to you. I think.

I like this blind master thread. I remember when I used to play nintendo I would do the inverse hands and hold the controller upside down method.

I will try this method of extremly limmited circle since right now all I do is mele.

I was thinking of just using federation weapons of pistols only as well for the Bridge crew as I can't assign the security's weapons.

Patch over one eye to distort your perspective then only manually target with mouse.

Turn your monitor off and see how it goes with tab targetting.

Slowing down? do exploration and patrol missions instead of story ones, don't PVP and sell all your loot instead of equipping it, then buy your loot again and equip it.

Seriously, once you hit the high end of LTCDR, your experience just goes insane per mission, i jumped 6 commander levels in 5 hours doing the CMDR missions early on.

PVP gives feds a lot of experience too, so avoid that.

You're thinking of this all wrong.

The question should be, "How can I have the most fun while leveling slowly?"

Melee. No guns, no Bat'Leths. Its actually quite fun against Swordmasters. I guess the OP will be even more amused, with no shields and stuff.

Best way to level slowly in STO is to play something else. I find that when I do that my XP stands still, it could be a bug though.

TBH sounds like you might be best selling your account.

Leave your security team behind by using the waypoints.

Fight hand to hand only using the slam, rather than your HTH attacks.Better yet, just use the starting phaser, that thing is completely worthless.

TOS Consittution is better than the Miranda.

Avoid taking storyline missions, they give good rewards and XP. Stick to the agonizing defend sector missions that give you TRIBBLE. Or exploration missions, which give you badges instead of gear, so less to throw away.

    Don't use hotkeys.

I kill things faster HTH than with guns...shields get in the way of guns, after all.

You could do all your space missions in a Runabout. That would be LOTS of fun but it would also take a long time.

Actually, I quite like the idea of that, might be worth creating an alt and giving him the cash from my main character to allow him to buy one from the outset.

Or decommission your ship, stay at starbase sleeping under a newspaper and only occasionally hitch a ride to all your missions and battles on tramp freighters. :D

I hope you're not using bridge officers. And I would suggest never spending any skill points.

Also, mount one phaser and one photon: use the photon against shields, and only use the phasers against hull.

Oh god, why do I suddenly want to do this?

Also TC, try turning your draw distance to the absolute minimum so everything is a surprise.

Tbh, if you have a lifetime sub, wouldn't you just try to get the highest rank possible in the games since you have all the time in the world?

    ADVICE: 1/4 impulse in systems
1/4 warp speed (Or whatever it's called)
(If you don't already)> Turn everything with graphics up and lag out the PC.

I'm guessing some of these are already suggested, but i'm a lazy sod and can't be assed to flick through the entire thread.

I actually try to fly as slow as possible between missions and read a book. I set it to warp 1.

This would work wonders... and while youre at it, pick up Guild Wars, they have a wonderful pvp system..

You could also cancel your account, see how slowly you would level then!

Advice for the OP: No weapons on away missions. Hand to hand combat only. Weapons are for wimps.
