wierd bug with version

i was wondering if some one else has this bug i was playing along just fine then got a transfer from space fight to ground mision during trouble with tribbles and that is where it whent south had a dc during the map transfer and when i tryed to relog into sto i get this message that i am having a version conflict?
cant understand how the **** i can get a version conflict if i was playing along just fine less then 5 minutes before that
any one have this same bug or maybe a solutuion?

    Is it a version mismatch? Is there a texture file / hogg file issue reported?

    only message i get is not at the launcher but the moment i hit the char selection screen then it just reports version conflict and throws me back to the log in screen where i get the advise to click support for further information wich is sadly lacking.

    Check for errors in the log files that match the today's date and post them here.
    Review STO log files in the game install directory - These include errors.log, CRASH.log, pcl.log, patchxfer.log, force_verify.log, and shutdown.log. These files are located in the Cryptic Studios directory of your install location. The latest entries will be at the bottom of the files with a date and time stamp (GMT).

    i checked the directory where the files are supposd to be stored can only find 4 files there named clientservercomm.log wich i suppose is just random info for the game and then 3 with possible erros listed name ly crash log hog_errors.log and shutdown log but the only one with a resent alteration is the shut down and crash log and in those the text line at the bottom reads

    so i dont know wat i did wrong since that is all i can find on this way and i dont have any add whare running that could compromise my acount.
    also i found it very wierd that i did not have any real problems till thi dc got me stuck in this version loop problem.

    Update I did a search and came across the same error for Champions Online.

    Please try clearing out the game clients patching progress and start the patching process again, please navigate to the folder where Champions Online is installed and delete the "Live" folder. Then start the client as normal and it should start updating the game automatically.

    I have no idea if that would help you at all, but it might be worth looking at if you have the time. In your case you'd want to delete the (I would rename it like LiveOLD) STO "Live" folder.

    yes basicly the same lines only difference is in that the other file as the 1st number behind the 100306 code one digit lower but i wil post them both

    hope this helps a bit

    checked the other 2 files just to be shore and did fins some posts with that code in the clientservercomm.log but think they are not related if i read the time stamp code corectly wich says 15.13 s i dont htink that has anything to do with this bug

    Check out my update in the post above about the "Live" folder rename (or delete). You can always rename the folder back to "Live"

    already atempting that need to wait till patching is done to see if it works migtht be a good option to pu tthis in te fast solutions section if it works found out that sometimes repatching solves a lot of bugs that some how can get u stuck in a loop
    i will edit this post to let u know if it worked
    one small alteration not the fast solutions but under solutions if it works downloading a patch of 10 g take time

    that methode seems to have done the job hope it stays that way was a long wait till sto had patched
