Greetings!

I enjoy STO and I am a big fan of Ground PvP (space is slowly growing on me).

I am finding that many of the battles are turning into whom can lock down whom first. I'm sure several people will point out that I do this myself. To this, I can only say that I am doing it before it's done to me.

I'd really like to see an alternative to lock-down wars.

Snares and roots- sure.
One lock-down ability and maybe a 15 second immunity before any other can be placed on you - acceptable.

I'd like to see our PvP community thrive and grow, but it is becoming so repetitive in the way that a battle hashes out.

I know some will agree and others will disagree. I'd just like to encourage some healthy feedback on this topic with our community.

    Same issue with lockdowns exists in space. Everything revolves around delivering them and defending against them. All other things seem secondary.

    and it only gets worse as you level up.

    I am tired of all my powers being put on cooldown and then being immobilised. Being an escort that basically means I'm dead.

    The thing is some will argue for it but after a while you just think, meh I'll do something else today instead. And PVP slowly dies which is a shame because it has a LOT of potential.
