Hi,

I installed STO on an underpowered machine & am now trying on another of mine with more guts. How do I deactivate my product key so I can install on this second machine???

When trying to simply activate on the second machine it says it;s in use, of course, and I can't find anywhere on the site to disable the first install or register this new machine.

tnx,
"Spork"

All activations are tied to your account, not the computer.

In other words, just log into your new computer with your old account. :)

Yes, but we have to reinstall FIRST on a new computer. I am in the same boat! I tried to reinstall from the disk, but cant get far because my "key is already active." Help, please! If STO was on the new computer already, I could log in! But, it is not...

You do not have to do anything with that window when it pops up, the install continues no matter what.

I am having the same problem. I had to buy a new graphics card, since the game wasn;t running well. I added the new video card, but still got the error message that the graphics card was not working. I unistalled the game STO and tried re-installing STO. In the middle of re-installing, it asked for the product key, and when I entered it, it said it was already in use. SO I can;t reinstall the game.

The key enter isn't required per the dev above but if you want you can download the game
