Disable audio

Is there a way to completely disable the sound? I don't mean just turn the volume down or change the audio device to something I don't use. I want it completely disabled. I watch movies and tv when I play so I don't use the sound and since I have an older system I am thinking I could get a couple more FPS if the audio was disabled. I couldn't find a config file or anything that would let me do this. Is there a command to run with the shortcut maybe?

Edit: I also have gotten a few BSOD that I think are related to the sound when restoring the game from being minimized. This hasn't happened for a while, but its another reason I would rather disable the sound as apposed to muting it.

Take a look in the Event Viewer’s System log and post those BSOD errors.

Unfortunately I re-formatted yesterday so that will be a bit of a problem. Like I said they haven't happened for a couple weeks so I'm not really concerned about them.

    In Vista and Windows 7:
    • Run the game in window mode
    • Double click the Volume icon in your task-bar
    • Select Mixer at the bottom
    • Mute Star Trek Online application
