Ground Game: Bat'leths are fun :D

I just wanted to mention something that might make the ground game more fun for some: melee! Specifically, Bat'leths. My alt is a Federation Klingon - and I've got him setup with a Bat'leth for ground combat. It's a much more "active" and fun style of ground combat!

They are fun, but I like unarmed better. Melee is fun.

Are bat'leths fixed already for BOs? I love equiping it on my tactical vulcan BO who specializes in melee ground powers. :)

Surprised that's the limit of melee. No Vulcan melee, swords (human), Jem'Hadar Melee, etc for us to wield.

I also wish we could have some exploit melee weapons rather then just exposes, ( know there is one exploit melee kit skill)

I enjoyed using a Bat'leth on my Ferngi Tactical officer for a while, it is fun. I switched to 2 sniper rifles when I made Captain with the close combat kit. I also have spent skill points on ground skills to make ground combat go a lot quiker.

I was just reading the Melee Combat Guide - Originally Posted by Ancillary last night and was surprised to read about Melee combos including the built in Exploit moves.
I'm looking forward to trying it out! Check it out.

Yes. There are Bat'leth combos. Anything you see a Swordmaster do, you can do. The standard swings, the push KB/KD move, the Cuisinart of Doom, etc. All done with combination of 3 using the 1 and 2 keys.

I use a bat’leth exclusively. Love it. Only problem I have is trying to control the camera when in PvP, as the human enemies move around a lot more and the camera has trouble tracking them properly.

Yeah, my main is a Fed Klingon. Love the Bat"leth. Nothing better then trying to cut your opponent in half.

My Betazed Captain does surprisingly well in Melee using a Bat'leh. Also thanks for posting the link to the guide..i WILL definitely be reading that for more tips.

    I want more weapons though:

    - KaBar combat knife
    - D'k tahg
    - Mek'leth (I wanna be like Worf!!)
    - Lirpa (Cuz Vulcans can melee too...)
    - Foldable Katana (Cuz Nu-Sulu Rocks)

    :D

I found it so much fun using The bat'leth. I was pulling off some combos and thought it was funny - compairing it to Mortal Combat or some game like that

"you have to hit in this order: A,B,B,X,Y,A,A" Except with 1,2, and 3.
    lol

They're great fun in PvP too, since they bypass shields. Confused more than a few people with a sneaky flank attack... just enough time to turn around and see an angry Klingon swinging like mad before you're dead!

Finally got a chance to try the combos out fighting a Romulan Commander; thanks to the awesome guide I knew to switch from Haymaker to Snap Kick when he kept stunning me. After that it was sooo much fun!! Even got a few Exploits in against some of the Uhlans.
    Time to get a Bat'leth from DS9!

I would also like to know this...I have a Klingon BO I've been saving to make him a melee character on away missions :)

Been using a bat'leth for a while now on my Fed Klink; but only recently got the combos and what they actually do down pat. Now, I go in fighting with a snipe shot from my sniper rifle, then stealth and go to town on mobs. It's hella fun and makes me wonder why I wasn't doing it before. Away missions went from being boring to a slashfest and I'm enjoying them immensely now. :D
