I had no idea there was any difference, I thought they were the exact same items but you could get them with either PVE marks or PVP marks. Luckily I saved up PVP marks for the shield because the PVP shield has more capacity than the highest capacity PVE variant. You can find the PVP stuff at K7. just wanted to let you guys know.

    common = white
    uncommon = green
    rare = blue
    very rare = violet
    items from marks = violet

    One would think that Omega stuff has a different color as they are epic. The marks stuff is easier to get than very rare items. Epic? Doesnt seem so.

    I'm not sure if I am confused or you are, but Omega is just what people call the items because you get them from the Omega Fleet in the borg sector. these items are epic. they are also available via the daily PVP marks in K7, they are the same items.. but the covarient shield on K7 is better than the best covariant at the omega fleet.

    The pvp reward epic antiproton weapons have better stats than their omega counterparts.

    The omega antiprotons have +20 critical severity whereas the pvp marks of honor rewards have +40

    I know that some of the pvp rewards have +20 and some have +40. Atleast on the Klingon side. Havent taken a deep look on the Fed side of things yet.

    really? is this the ship weapons or ground weapons? I don't use the ship ones personally but I just bought my whole bridge crew the ground weapons so I hope the PVP ones aren't better >_>

    I believe the Very Rare (Purple) the word epic isn't on them anywhere. Between PVP and PVE are relatively the same in order to keep gear balance in check between pvp and pve unlike other MMO's that have created a rift between pvp and pve gear. Of course pvp gear will have slight changes than the pve gear that also has a slight change in order to compete in both in either pvp and pve. This is the way to go IMO with the game it will keep a good balance on the gear and in check for both kinds of game play.

    For a simple example and not the only example;

    I have full Very Rare ship all decked out in pve and I want to go and play some pvp and maybe collect a full set of pvp very rares. I know if I go up against a fully loaded PvP geared ship or ground assault I am going to be able to complete pretty much equally with slight differences which will allow me to gather merits and get my pvp gear with out being laid out flat on my butt.
